Old 32oz Glass Coke Bottle before Plastic came in....("Remember, Return for Deposit")
I had the chance to do a family shoot this past week. Alley a very photogenic little one made the work much easier with this little happy face and beautiful blue eyes. Having a young one in front of the camera is always fun.
10/21/14 - Autumn color, golden sumac; I'd never seen a golden sumac before and I thought it was just stunning! This is a crop of this slightly wider image: http://fotoeffects.smugmug.com/Flowers/Flora-and-Fauna/6473184_RcKg8G#!i=3619153250&k=7brGwBg. I had a hard time deciding which I preferred. What do you think? Thanks for your comments on my shot of the sphinx moth. In Colorado Springs in late summer, where there are flowers, you often see them.
October 21, 2014 Shot from the overlook behind the Glen Canyon Dam near Page, AZ of boats on the Colorado River. The canyon walls were magnificent in their size and the colors. It's hard to imagine how this awesome river carved them over millions of years, but I'm so thankful we have this beauty to enjoy today. Have a fantastic day my friends. Oct.21. I drive by this on my way to work, and look forward to see the colors continue to change.
I've always been interested in the style of architecture used on the Ben Franklin Bridge between Camden and Philadelphia. As I had finally gotten around to taking a longer lens t the waterfront I decided to shoot the top of the Philadelphia Tower from the Camden side.
October 21, 2014 All of the pathways at the Dallas Arboretum are lined with pumpkins. The mums hadn't quite bloomed out yet but the marigolds were in full bloom (and smell). I love the metal pumpkin holders in the flower beds. Thank you for your comments on the pumpkin house yesterday. Enjoy your day! Jeanne
20.10.14 - Gothic This is an old photo that I re-visited for the black and white challenge on Facebook. It isn't the most common view you see of Lincoln Cathedral, but it is one of my favourites

October 21, 2014 Sunrise ~ St. Michaels, Maryland The H.M. Krentz is an authentic working skipjack. One of the newer vessels to be built for the rigors of Maryland?s wintertime commercial oyster dredging fishery. Launched in 1955 in Harry Hogan, Va., by the Krentz Shipyard for Capt. David Lewis of Wingate, Md., The H.M. Krentz is 49 ft. length on deck, 70ft. length overall, 15.5 ft. beam, draws 4ft. 10 in. with the centerboard up, displaces 26 tons, and carries almost 2000 square feet of sail. The beamy, open deck of the working skipjack, so necessary for oyster dredging under sail, creates a very stable ride. It is a perfect setting for social gatherings or business meetings, and makes a great outdoor classroom for educational groups of all ages. Together with the surrounding Chesapeake Bay, the H.M. Krentz becomes a powerful symbol of the significant cultural and ecological history of Maryland?s Eastern Shore. To sail aboard the H.M. Krentz is akin to stepping back in history, which is ever present on the Eastern Shore ? home of the last fleet of working sailing vessels in North America. There are no winches, just manpower and blocks and tackle along with the luck of a good breeze to set time back in motion. Experience the life of the waterman; help pull up the sails and dredge some oysters. Relax and enjoy the sounds of wind and water; see osprey and waterfowl; observe undeveloped waterfront and historic towns; learn about the ecology of the incredible Chesapeake Bay. A more unique way to explore this tidewater region you will not find. http://historic.stmichaelsmd.com/list/member/chesapeake-skipjack-sailing-tours-st-michaels-32
Oct 21 - Oh That Car My brother in law's sweet 1964 Chevy Impala which he restored over a 9 year span! It is beautiful! Thanks so much for your comments over this little series of mine. I have more that I could post, but I won't saturate the daily comunity with all of them! Thanks again even though I haven't been able to return your comments!
