Signs of fall A visiting friend wanted to go out to the Reifel Bird Sanctuary near Vancouver today. This is an internationally-reknown migration stopover point for birds, and a critical habitat for birds migrating along the Pacific Flyway. So I grabbed my camera and off we went. Signs of fall were everywhere, including this abandoned wasp's nest hanging over the water among a few fall leaves and red crabapples. 18.09.14 - Dribbler I got 4 shots of this young swan on my way into town along the river yesterday afternoon. This is my favourite because it captured the combination of water drops, ripples and shadows best.. This guy is probably about 6 months old, almost as big as an adult but still with juvenile feathers.
