September 1, 2014 I'd love to see what is at the end of this road.
I played around with another close-up of the center of a red hibiscus blossom to produce today's post. This is basically a color inversion and an orientation inversion. Hence the title. I did add a couple of addtional minor tweaks, including resizing it expanding the horizontal dimension relative to the vertical. Now it looks like some bizarre marine organism ... to me, anyway. DP244-2014 Posted September 1 (Labor Day); processed August 31. Original taken August 27, 2014, at Hidden Lake Gardens. Title: Floral Filter Fantasy - Double Inversion
SEPT 1 2014 Peek-a-boo The camera and i did a little rolling in this one.
9/1/14 - Famous Dave's Barbecue logo; I shot this for Rick's challenge and decided to use the Serta sheep, but I think this is a pretty neat logo nonetheless. Thanks for your comments on my shot of the Serta sheep. I was surprised how many of you knew it. Like many of you, I think those sheep are awfully cute! I really enjoyed all the logos; I think we all closed out Rick's challenge with a bang! What's next? Billiejean and, I think, Godschild had proposed doing an abstract challenge. Anyone up for that?

September 1, 2014 I hope everyone is off work & enjoying a much needed day of play or rest. I certainly am! I've missed you all very much, and plan to start posting again. Our 10 day vacation was glorious, and we saw some stunning country on our explorations from Salt Lake City to Phoenix. As many of you know, Bill and I like to explore the small highways, and back roads (yes, many are dirt or gravel) and we avoid major Interstates as much as possible. On our first day, we left Salt Lake City and headed out to the east to our first night near Altamont, Utah. I had plotted a backroad's trip for us and about half way there, one of the roads that I'd planned for us to take (Ute 7) was dirt (no problem), but it was on the Ute reservation. We encountered this sign and were a bit disappointed because to back track would have put us hours past our appointed time to arrive at the LC Ranch cabin near Altamont. So we took a deep breath, and hauled it through the reservation on the dirt road. Thankfully, we didn't meet another car, nor ran into any issues. It was a beautiful drive through the Unitah & Ouray Indian reservation. “We must be willing to fail and to appreciate the truth that often "Life is not a problem to be solved, but a mystery to be lived.” ― M. Scott Peck Have a great day my friends! Linda http://lgood.smugmug.com
Sept.1. I made this for the Labor Day party, but that's not cake under there, it's a seedless watermelon.

September 1, 2014 Happy September! Where did August go? We enjoyed a beautiful morning on Lake Fork Saturday. Thank you for your comments on my Pegasus trademark post yesterday. There were some fun TM's in this challenge. Thank you for proposing it Rick. Have an amazing day Jeanne
31.08.14 - Christmas 1918! Our internet isn't working at home so I've not been able to post since Saturday, I'm in the library in town posting this. These are from the "Christmass Eve 1918" shoot we did on Saturday, it was huge fun, everyone pretending to be cold on a very warm day, but we did have mince pies and apple juice pretending to be sherry! It was also the last day with most of the cast together, so we presented flowers to our leading ladies :)
