Wooo hooooo Talk about a thrill,,, but I 'll pass on this one. This guy went on twice!!!! 05/05/15
The view is of the west interior side of the University of Michigan Law Quad, with a portion of the north side along the left edge of the image. The merge or stitch is from five portrait or vertical format singles, shot RAW, hand held, manual exposure (see below for common EXIF data). I processed them in Lightroom to remove noise and chromatic aberrations, but nothing more. I selected them and asked LR to merge them in Photoshop, allowing PS to select automatically what it felt was the best algorithm. I cropped the resulting panomerge, merged the layers, and finished editing the shot for exposure, contrast, sharpening, etc. I did a small amount of straightening with the 'transform/distort' feature in PS, but impressively, very little was actually needed after the merge. DP125-2015 Posted Tuesday, May 5. Shared camera settings for the singles used in the panorama: Sony Nex-7, ISO 400, f/16, 1/250 sec, 43 mm focal length (equiv to 64 mm full frame 35 mm format) Taken May 3, 2015. Processed May 4. I thought the cloud looked like a poodle flying, and maybe some other creatures as well.
May 5, 2015 Here's the backstory of this shot: After having been on a business trip all last week, I landed at Love Field Friday afternoon around 3:30. Friday afternoon traffic is ALWAYS back, but this past Friday it was hideous! There were to protest rallies downtown and the sky was filled with news helicopters, I-35 was just inching along. So as a way to get around the freeway, I took a route that I normally don't travel. This took me under the fantastic Margaret Hunt Hill bridge which I think is stunning in it's design. As I was slowly creeping under the bridge, I pulled out my point & shoot that stays in the car all the time, and just held it up through the windshield. I didn't really know what kind of shot I would get, but I liked several of them. This is the one that I liked best. Rather than a "drive by" shot, it's a "drive under" shot. "Bridges become frames for looking at the world around us." ~ Bruce Jackson Thank you for your comments and critiques. I'm off again this morning for another week away from home (sigh), but will comment as much as I can. Have a great week friends! Linda http://www.smugmug.com
May 5, 2015 Dogwood fun fact: In 2012, the United States sent 3,000 dogwood saplings to Japan to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of the Washington D.C. cherry trees given as a gift to the U.S. by Japan in 1912.[16] Happy Cinco de Mayo

5/5/15 - Tulips past their prime; I selected the tulips, inversed the selection and blurred the bg. Looks best in the largest size. Thanks for your comments on my shot of the antiques in the shop in Manitou. Much appreciated.
04.05.15 - Looks like we've got ourselves a convoy! It was a beautiful bank holiday Monday in the UK yesterday, the kids and I took Willis for a long walk in the afternoon

May 5. While sitting outside with family on Saturday, who knew I would get to see this treat. Daddy bluebird is bringing Momma Bluebird some dinner. We're waiting on the babies to be born in the house.
