I captured this moonset photo the morning the moon was it's closest to the earth in the past 18 years, March 19 2010. The sun still had not risen, so, the light you see in the clouds and reflected on the ocean was from the incredibly bright full moon as it was setting over the Pacific Ocean. We've had virtually non-stop rain over the past week, and this morning was no different - so I was lucky the moon peeked out of the clouds just a bit to add some mystical moonlight to the ocean and clouds.

Yesterday I woke up at sunrise. The sun was barely over the horizon at southeast. As I looked out of my bedroom window I saw this landscape to the northwest with the full moon as a golden coin. I at once grabbed my camera, opened the window even as the temperature was minus 10° centigrade and made some shots. Here is one of them. 10 minutes later the sun was well over the horizon, the sky was lit and the moon hardly to be seen.
August 30, 2009 - "1941 Ford Super Deluxe" This was shot at the Palm Springs Air Museum. The SOOC had so many distracting reflections that I could not work around. So, I thought I would push this beautiful stock '41 Ford to this extreme. I do not see to many candy apple red cars around anymore :) I just competed a gallery with the SOOC and several other cars from the museum. http://dakotacowboy.smugmug.com/Cars/Palm-Springs-Air-Museum-Cars/9405377_H6KiD/1/630121733_CxF5M Airplanes from the museum are at another gallery http://dakotacowboy.smugmug.com/Military/Palm-Springs-Air-Museum-2009/8329002_YUVa2/1/578640610_Q5Nsr
Dance on the beach. Our small island "Fanoe" is a National park. To celebrate this, 30 or more young people, all in white, arranged a happening on the beach. Now it is nominated to be a World Heritage due to its unique nature. We are 3200 inhabitants and are all proud of this nomination. Kresten Refslund
I waited for 6 months for the sun to go down in the midle of the road. Fortunately it did not rain that day. I brought a boy with me to wave good night to the sun. Suddenly I saw the birds comming from the left, and got them in "the decive moment".
10-30-08 Natural lenses A tiny spider web and a misty morning give so many lenses ! Hard to keep every drop sharp and to focus on the picture given through the drops ! This one came out good enough among many other shots. Can you see what was behind ? ^^

It's still hot, and I didn't shoot anything today, so this is another shot from the archives. And in an ultimate showing of laziness, I'm pulling it straight from one of my first galleries uploaded to Smugmug. One more day until I'll have lots of new festival and river photos to choose from.
Monday, July 21, 2008 (day 52) Went to Eastern State Penitentiary with friends who can't join the SmugMug group on August 13th. Plus, I filled out a survey on the way out and I have 4 free passes for the SmugMug group! It was soooo hot and humid. It was fun to shot there, I think (hope) I learned alot from my mistakes, don't you just love digital!!!
"ICE STORM" We are in the middle of a 2 day Ice Storm here in North West NJ, it hasn't let up for almost 48 hours now and everything is covered in 1/4" - 1/2" of pure ice making traveling treacherous BUT for a photographer it's an awesome site. I didn't get out to the mountains for some full landscape shots so I walked out to my front yard and got some of my trees, bushes & grass that were pretty cool. A Lot of things look like snake skin like this berry tree. I hope this goes away soon, gotta get ready for the snow storm their calling for on Saturday LOL BTW this was shot hand held using my Tamron 90mm Di f/2.8 1:1 Macro, I love this lens ! PS: I have a bunch more ice storm images shot yesterday in my Weather gallery "CLICK HERE IF INTERESTED" Some really cool macro images came out of this storm ! ~Bill~
22.2.09 - Red Sky at Night, Photographer's Delight :) There are times when I feel that sunset photos are nothing to do with me, all I do is point and shoot, Mother Nature and Uncle Nikon do the work! I am also lucky that less than 2 minutes walk from my flat I have this view, so when I see something developing in the sky I just grab the camera and stroll round to the old quarry. Last night was a pretty special sunset as you can see. This is straight out of camera, and there are 11 more in my Lincoln Sunsets Gallery here; http://johnloguk.smugmug.com/gallery/4053411_yY5Qg#478293082_9jPb4 As I said, not a lot to do with me as a photographer, but still damn spectacular :)
