December 28, 2014 I am checking out a trial subscription to Topaz Glow, and created this photo of a building in Las Vegas. I rather like it for something different. Not sure if I'll buy or not, but it looks like it's going to be fun to play with for awhile. Here's hoping everyone is relaxing from all the holiday festivities, I certainly am. Today, I plan to just "chill out" - what a nice change of pace. Have a wonderful day today my friends. Linda http://lgood.smugmug.com

27.12.14 - Snowy River What a difference a smattering of overnight snow makes! This is the first snow to fall on Lincoln for almost 2 years so I couldn't wait to get out in it with the camera.
May 23, 2014 Red is my favorite color followed closely behind by purple. In fact when Bill and I got married (5 years ago May 15th) our color scheme for the wedding and reception was red & purple. I'm don't have much of a green thumb, but a friend gave me some purple Iris plants a few years ago, and they are doing very well. Recently I put the macro lens on and walked around the backyard (still needs more work) and took some photos. I was trying to get a good macro shot of the Iris and the details inside. This is the shot that I liked the best. Hope you enjoy. "Since Iris is the Greek goddess for the Messenger of Love, her sacred flower is considered the symbol of communication and messages. Greek men would often plant an iris on the graves of their beloved women as a tribute to the goddess Iris, whose duty it was to take the souls of women to the Elysian fields." ~ Hana No Monogatari, from "The Stories of Flowers" Have an awesome day today my friends!!! TGIF!!! Linda http://lgood.smugmug.com
