7/28/14 - Street scene in Cherry Creek; worth viewing in the largest size, I think. Question for those who have already migrated to the New Smugmug. How do you keep your daily gallery shots in the order in which they are posted? I surely enjoyed seeing all the logo posts for Rick's challenge. Thanks to all who commented on my Arm and Hammer logo post. I went out a couple of times today looking for new logos to shoot. This is really turning out to be fun! Thanks, Rick, for suggesting it.
11/05/09 - Historic Yates Mill Pond at Sunset I posted a picture of the actual water wheel in my gallery earlier this year. In this picture, you can't see the wheel, but you get this lovely reflection instead. After Joey's flu shot, I decided to make the best of a wonderful afternoon and go for a quick hike around the mill pond. Unfortunately, we were really there a good 30-60 minutes too late to be taking good pictures. I had to bump up the saturation on this one to improve the color. This is the same shot taken on 10/26 last year when the sun was better and the tree closest to the mill still had yellow leaves on it. http://fotomom.smugmug.com/Yates-Mill-Pond/Yates-Mill-Photo-Contest-2009/7088136_34LZC#454338880_TdGL2 In both cases, the sky looks better in the reflection than in the final shot. I'm not sure how to get around that...especially in last night's picture when the sky really didn't have much blue in it. We still have not had a frost or freeze at my house, but it look like it's coming Friday night into Saturday. I am storing ceramic bird baths and pots and taking in fragile plants that I can save. I sure wish today was Friday... HAGD, Maryann
5-18: Sorry for no comments today - Melanie (my wife) had me doing chores almost all day long :( I'll try to catch up soon. We were driving by a farm near Lions Park natural area north of Fort Collins and this section of fence caught my eye. I think those little glowing round things are dandelion seed puff things.
I was on the mainland two weeks ago and visited an old town and found a street with these houses from the 17th century
Boats on the Velikaya River bank. (6.11.2011) Sorry I didn't have time to comment yesterday. Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend.
2-05: Another from Monday evening. I was actually hurrying to get to another location and kinda liked the look here so I snapped off a few shots. I think it sorta looks like fall colors on the trees
Nana, a very cute puppy - Jan 24 2009 Today my Caroline had to do her license test agility with Blue (which they passed easily), time to see our agility friend again and some new puppies. This little gal stole my heart instantly, good job she's already taken ;-) So I have to settle with some pictures of her.
Yates Mill Pond - December 26, 2010
Reflections in a Wheel; best viewed in the larger sizes. This particular reflection was one of my favorite takeaways from the car show! Thanks for your comments on the shot of the father with the little girl playing with the slot cars. Keeps me going!

08OCT2012 Milling Around Dell's Mill aka Clark's Mill with some Fall foliage all lit up in the morning sun......Great place, scenic area with lots of barns to shoot as well. Image won First Place in the "Travel Category" n4c.us in October 2012, submitted through the Omaha Camera Club. Comments are welcome, lots of Wisconsin images to upload....have a great day! Dan, sorry we didn't know you lived there....great area.
Gorgeous sunrise yesterday!!! The water was so still and the sky had such unique color. I shot all around the harbor for over 2 hours! Unlike today, where I overslept and missed the whole thing! Plymouth Harbor, Ma
October 5, 2009 - "Grand Teton Sunrise" Our first day in Jackson, Wyoming we left the hotel at 630 am to get some sunrise shots. It was cold and dark waiting for the sun to appear first on the mountains and then on this barn. There was some light smoke in the air from area controlled burns. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Mormon Row Historic District Mormon Row is a line of homestead complexes along the Jackson-Moran Road near the southeast corner of Grand Teton National Park. The rural historic landscape's period of significance includes the construction of the Andy Chambers, T.A. Moulton and John Moulton farms from 1908 to the 1950's. Six building clusters and a separate ruin illustrate Mormon settlement in the area and comprise such features as drainage systems, barns, fields and corrals. The district occupies a spectacular site in Jackson Hole with the Teton Range rising in the background.
3.10.09 - Ghost in the Machine Ghostly goings on at Gainsborough Old Hall. I've had this idea ever since I found out that this was called the "ghost corridor", so while I was trapped inside the PC I thought I'd have a go at creating this. It is the first time I've experimented with layers in this way, maybe I should have made Lydia even more transparent, but hey I'm sure I'll try this again. Those of you that haven't already seen my gallery of the Hall might want to check this out; http://www.lightanddreamsphotography.com/History/GAINSBOROUGH-OLD-HALL/9662694_gb4gb#652216254_Fyruu Thanks for the wonderful response to my silly SP yesterday, it was a lot of fun making that :)
October 10, 2009 - "Majestic Yellowstone Morning " This two stitch image was shot our first full morning in Yellowstone. The mountain splendor was highlighted in the early morning light. Yellowstone is not a place for sleeping in! We were on the road at 730am each morning we were in the park.
