The great teacher inspires.” ~ William Ward This week (May 4-8, 2015) is National Teacher Appreciation Week. Those of you who have been a member of the Daily Photos Community for a while know that both of my parents and an aunt are retired educators. Also, my grandmother and an aunt (both deceased) were retired educators. Currently, I have a sister, first cousin, and a few associates who are educators. It's true that teachers make all other professions possible; yet, they are often overlooked, underrated, unappreciated, and underpaid. Perhaps, Valerie Strauss of The Washington Post said it best: "Imagine if we celebrated teachers as much as we celebrate athletes and celebrities."
