07.31.14 A selfie: The Viking Warriorette with her mighty breast-plate Indigo ;-) Interesting. When I wore this hat at the UNM Cancer Center people looked at me and laughed and we started conversations. People loved the hat. At Huntsman? Totally the opposite. I felt like people were embarrassed for me. They'd quickly look away. No one commented. The one nurse acted.... I don't know.... obligated to say something nice. Come on people. Lighten up! It was OK to look. It was OK to laugh. It was OK to talk to me. I know I looked silly, but I get tired of being serious. Missing the staff. The Doctors. The people at UNM Cancer Center. Next week. Would someone, please, come laugh with me? Hats required attire. ****** Note: It is against the rules to ever wear Jennifer, Juno or Indigo. Although with all that !BLING! Indigo would make an amazing Breast Plate.
September 23, 2007 Fog in the forest.
050211 Tree in Shohola Falls Long week last week with the shutter failing on my Nikon D50 and computer problems at work. Took a drive to Delaware Water Gap over the weekend to get away. Trying to adjust to my D60 but I liked my older camera.

January 7, 2012 This shot was taken just after sundown somewhere along the Mississippi coast of the Gulf of Mexico. We had stopped to walk on the beautiful white-sand beaches and take some photos. Just as we left, we stopped at a nearby marina to put gas in the car and I couldn't resist taking this photo. Frame added in Picnik. I hope you enjoy this tranquil setting captured in this photo - it's going to be one of my favorites from our recent vacation. Check it out in X3 for all the color, reflections and details. Thanks for your comments!!! Have a fabulous weekend!!! Linda
08OCT2012 Milling Around Dell's Mill aka Clark's Mill with some Fall foliage all lit up in the morning sun......Great place, scenic area with lots of barns to shoot as well. Image won First Place in the "Travel Category" n4c.us in October 2012, submitted through the Omaha Camera Club. Comments are welcome, lots of Wisconsin images to upload....have a great day! Dan, sorry we didn't know you lived there....great area.
I was looking for something to photograph during the week of fog, and I found my subject, the Alex Fraser Bridge.
June 11, 2011 This is the same abandoned station where the marching line of gas pumps were found. You can see that shot posted on June 5th here if you missed it. I know many of you have seen it because of the wonderful comments which are very appreciated. http://lgood.smugmug.com/Other/Daily-Photos-2010/12484643_ezMcC#1367630283_kkxm8S9 This is another set of gas pumps that are older in style, and were in front of the abandoned station. As I mentioned before, there were 100s of pumps around this place. It was so cool. And here's an old sign that was in front of this old place- http://lgood.smugmug.com/Other/Signs/7752337_483tx//1061733754_#1376000970_H7MsspG This was such a cool place and it brought back lots of memories for me from days gone by. I hope you all enjoy it. Linda
Resurrection Stone May 2011 This large rock sits out in the middle of Nowhere, Utah. It's barely supported by small legs, but by putting my camera on the ground, I was able to see through the window of it's legs to a massive arch in the distance. This is my favorite photo from 2011.
Here is a close-up of the nearer of the two fishermen in yesterday's wide angle shot ( http://smu.gs/UyYWnY ). Several of you made direct or glancing reference to the fact that he seemed to be looking at a mobile phone. Although his boat is certainly rigged for fishing, I never once saw him so much as look at any of the three poles he had mounted on it. DP210-2014 Posted July 29; processed ditto For Regina (rtgeoghanart) who asked, and any others who might be interested, there is a different perspective of yesterday's scene here ( http://smu.gs/Uz3uL8 ). Also, for a closer view of the other fishing boat, barely visible in my July 28 DP post, see here ( http://smu.gs/X8h2yI ). It's a very different approach to fishing. 1964 Chevy Pickup Stepside. It looks like the last time it was drivable was in 1998, notice by the window sticker. In the back of the bed there is a cooler (“Sure where he kept his beer”) a pair of cowboy spurs and old boots. My guess is this was a cowboy’s pickup.
12-21: This is another from the foggy morning at the Collindale golf course. The fog was freezing on some of the trees branches and needles

Rainbow Slot Canyon This colorful slot canyon has bright yellow, orange, pink and red stripes. It's also very slanted.
