Wednesday, July 23, 2014 "BRING ON THE BRIGHTS" "Every beautiful flower must grow through dirt." ~ Anonymous SOOC, uncropped, flash didn't fire There have been lots of "Flower Power" photos posted lately - mine included. It's definitely that time of year. Here's another photo (daylilies and buds) taken in the same yard as yesterday's flower photo. Isn't this such an array of colors? I do love colors. Have a wonderful Wednesday! (photo taken 6/17/2014) My Homepage: www.godschild.smugmug.com

"Looking for Pollywogs"!! It was one of those hot, sultry, afternoons in a still heat where everything stood still. Went for a drive in the country .Camera in hand and a short walk brought me to this muddy, little stream and I thought of catching tadpoles when I was a kid. Where have they all gone? 23/07/2014

I recently attended a show celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang. Shown here are two 1966 Shelby GT 350's. The car in the rear was featured in yesterday's post but the Shelby gt 350 H in the foreground is somewhat unusual. It is one of 50 that were painted Ivy Green Metallic and only one of 6 that were equipped by Ford with Air Conditioning prior to being delivered to the Hertz Corporation. All of the other vehicles, which in some quarters became known as "rent a racers", were painted black with gold strips . You could rent one of these beauties for $17 a day and 17 cents per mile. The complete Hertz order numbered 1000.
