Bobcat sharpening its claws on a tree branch I was surprised to see how cat-like bobcats (Lynx rufus) are. They are about twice the size of a house cat, have a whiskered face, black-tufted ears, and stubby tails, (the tail can seen in one of the other shots accessed from the link below) Several other shots of this photogenic bobcat can be seen here: http://goo.gl/08IkDg 02/08/14 allenfotowild.com

September 2, 2104 The hubby and I took a road trip on Monday to find and shoot the 4 remaining quilts throughout our county. This is the ninth in a series of 12 quilts located in Carroll County Maryland and part of the American Quilt Trail Movement. This quilt was very difficult to locate, we went to the address but couldn’t find the quilt. Turns out, our iPhone maps were taking us to a location no where near the actual quilt. I finally looked up the farm and we drove in that general direction, we spotted it by pure luck. We drove up to the farm and I had to get out a walk a bit to talk this photo. Out of nowhere comes this german shepherd looking dog. Too bad my husband didn’t have a video going, to see me running with my camera and jumping into the truck surely would have been a funniest home video! The Tulips in a Basket is located at: ZigZag Acres 1401 New Windsor Rd, New Windsor. Its actually off Rt 31. To see if the movement is in your town go to: http://barnquiltinfo.com
