August 29, 2015 While we were on our rainforest hike, our guide found a fallen Eagle feather on one of the walk ways. She picked it up, and talked about it a little bit. Each of us in the group got to hold and examine it which was very cool! But as we finished, we had to leave it behind where it had fallen. It is illegal (except for an Native American) to possess an Eagle feather, or any part of an Eagle for that matter. "Eagles are directly protected under two Federal laws: the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. These laws generally prohibit the possession, use, and sale of eagle feathers and parts as well as a number of other activities." from www.fws.gov/eaglerepository Thank you for your comments and critiques! Have a fantastic day full of wonder and joy. "It's a great event to get outside and enjoy nature. I find it very exciting no matter how many times I see bald eagles." ~ Karen Armstrong Linda http://lgood.smugmug.com

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-27324867.html Fell into dereliction and then sold for 2.5million I believe after being restored. My picture was taken in January 2008. Just a general note - as I have said many times before - please only comment on my pic if you actually like it, or want to say something about the content. I am not on here to play popularity games, drive up ratings, or try to get my pictures more popular than other people's. By making negative comments on my pics, and telling me how they can be improved - just pee me off tbh - especially when the people making them could take some of their own advice. I put up pics that I like and there's nothing on SM that says I have to open myself up to criticism of everything I upload. All these types of comments are being removed from my pics, so don't bother. Also, I am on Flickr thanks, and have been for over ten years. So don't need any more invites. Flickr is a totally different ball game. Different set of people, different set of pics. I have people whose work I follow here, and people whose work I follow there. I am not replacing one for the other. Also, if DCP was to defect to Flickr long term, I would stay loyal to the group that Harsh started out of memory and respect to him. Not sure why we are starting another Flickr group, when there already is one. But I really don't want any more invites to it on my pics thanks. Many thanks for looking at my pictures.
