17/12/14 Raining all day and I wanted some new shots to present ;so went one street over to see the decorations. I felt like inspector Clouseau as I skulked down the sidewalk. Homeowners peeking out of their windows made me a little nervous in the dark. I like this one but took it in a hurry. Not too sharp but the holiday feel comes through.
Pre-Ceremony jitters.... I caught this expression just before Mackenzie's Tae Kwan Do Black Belt Ceremony began. She was SO nervous, but of course, she did a wonderful job of standing (mostly without moving) for over 5 hours and of receiving her Black Belt and making an excellent speech. Whatever Mackenzie does, she does well, with committment and enthusiasm, and we simply could not be more proud of her! 12.17.14 (this one is for you God's Child, I know you are wondering how Mackenzie is doing... :) thanks for being so sweet.)
Fountain of Color Dec 17 I posted a daytime shot of this fountain a few weeks ago. Well this is the same fountain at night, a view from the opposite side which faces the street. The colors cycled through red, green and white. Very fascinating to watch! Here is the original post of the fountain http://truimages.smugmug.com/Photography/The-Daily-Photo/Daily-2014-Photos/i-P38M2Fj/0/L/_DSC3544_1-L.jpg
16.12.14 - Serenity This is a 2 shot photomerge panorama of Boultham Park lake yesterday. I had to go into town in the morning and shot this on the way home. The park is slightly off my route, but I often take it to check out the photo opportunities and I'm glad I made the detour yesterday
Day 345- NYC Bloomingdale's Holiday Window - Dec 17. A segment of a Bloomingdale's holiday window with cutouts of the Empire State Building and other skyscrapers and the New Year's Eve Waterford ball that drops in Times Square.
12-17-2014 "From Behind" Sometimes churches have a unique look from behind. Thank you for your comments and critiques on my photos. I did sort of blend in with the decorations on the fence in the ornament shot yesterday. I had on red. I didn't think of that when I posted. Donna
2-1: Saturday evening we had quite a nice sunset, so I took a walk along the Poudre trail near Prospect street hoping to find some good views. I found this waterfall like thing.

Sunday, December 30, 2012 "LIGHTS AND REFLECTIONS" "How much you climb up the mountain is just as important as how you get down the mountain. And so it is with life, which, for many of us becomes one big gigantic test followed by one big gigantic lesson. In the end, it all comes down to one word.....grace. It's how you accept winning and losing, good luck and bad luck, the darkness and the light." ~ Philosophy SOOC, other than the frames, which were created with Picnik. Unfortunately, the picnik is over. As announced earlier, Picnik closed on April 19, 2012. Hiking the Black Mountain Trails in Anthem near my home. So much volcanic rock, makes it very difficult to plant. My husband spent hours chipping away rock to plant a few desert bushes in our yard.
