2-1: Saturday evening we had quite a nice sunset, so I took a walk along the Poudre trail near Prospect street hoping to find some good views. I found this waterfall like thing.
May 22... For the last 3 days we had a visit of 5 family members. We were very busy entertaining them so I had little time to post pictures. One of them was my youngest granddaughter, a real darling, so I shall share this picture with you
050211 Tree in Shohola Falls Long week last week with the shutter failing on my Nikon D50 and computer problems at work. Took a drive to Delaware Water Gap over the weekend to get away. Trying to adjust to my D60 but I liked my older camera.
Red barn boards gleam in the early spring air!
I was on the mainland two weeks ago and visited an old town and found a street with these houses from the 17th century
Blif is a little annoyed to be distracted by a photographer
June 30... A 250 year old house of a sea captain. The two dogs in the window have a special meaning: When they were looking out of the window the husband were at sea, when looking into the house he was at home and her special friends should stay away.
April 20, 2009 - "Sign Of The Times" - This might be one way to use the remaining tangible assets of a failed bank.
23.07.14 - Backlit Harebells This is from my guided photo walk on Lincoln South Common yesterday evening. I love backlight, especially in the soft evening light. There are lots of tiny purple harebells out at the moment, and they were shimmering amongst the grasses in the light breeze.

Frozen Tobolsk Kremlin. (1.2.2012) Off to Rome tomorrow afternoon so may be MIA the rest of the week. Hope everyone's enjoyed their holidays & renewed for a fresh start to 2012.
Sunday, May 15, 2011 "ANTIQUE CHEVY" (pp version) "Keep calm and drive a Chevy!" ~ Unknown Author Lgood is one of the absolute best at capturing automobile shots and their reflections, and I immediately thought of her when I spotted this GM classic. Unfortunately, there wasn't an information card, so I am unsure as to the year of this "oldie but goodie." My hubby's guess is it's a "1930 something Chevy." The pink sign made spectators chuckle. It warned, "UNLESS YOU ARE NUDE.....PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH MY CHEVY! BUCKLES, BELTS, AND BUTTONS SCRATCH." As you can see, I did some pp with this one, but it is uncropped. God is and has been exceptionally kind to all of us; have a blessed and safe Sunday, everyone. Inside the TicToc Diner - The TicToc Diner in Lake City, CO, is one of only a few surviving diners called Valentine Diners, which were ordered from a catalog. Today was the day when I could have gotten the shot of a lifetime, but didn't. After our father's day breakfast at I-Hop, we decided to take a drive over to the Woodland Park area in our old restored 1975 Porsche 911. Apparently, everyone else in Colorado Springs had the same idea because traffic was incredibly heavy, although moving along at a fast clip. We're tooling along at about sixty miles an hour and I have my camera in my hand, when out of the corner of my eye I see these big brown shapes. I swivel my head to look and realize I'm looking at two large brown bears....eating on grass or some other plant. They looked incredibly cute and rolly polly. There was no shoulder on which to stop and the traffic was so thick that it was impossible to stop. I was sick about it. By the time we got back around, they were gone. Oh, well, c'est la vie!
day 108: "the hills have eyes—south jersey". we drove to canton, nj to visit my brother and he took us on a quick tour down an isolated marsh-surrounded road. i loved the area as there are no wires or telephone polls. just a nuke cooling tower in the background... and a strange shack in the middle of the marsh... and NO cell reception... and, uh, it was kinda freaky actually. i hopped out of the van and ran half way up the planked entrance to take this shot ignoring the "no trespassing" sign and the full-on assault of green head flies. in mid-shot my brother beeped the horn and drove away leaving me. funny guy. he drove back. i may be heading back here to sneak closer next time. curiosity has me cranked to check out the shack.
