Looking into the world of fractals .... If you look deeply, it just gets deeper! Cool, huh? Thanks for all your thoughts & comments on my first shot at fractals yesterday. Some of you were wondering about the Frax app. I tried it first on my iphone but found it too difficult to manage on the small screen, so I got the iPad app and it is serious fun! Very addictive!! I don't know if the app is available for other tablets or PC's but I hope so... this should be something everyone can play with! 03.04.15 edit: I did some looking around on the internet & it seems this app is only available for iPad & iPhone. There are requests for Android, maybe coming, but I'm sure this app will be limited to touchscreens, phones or tablets. It's all about the movement on the screen and the shifting of the tablet/phone itself, so I doubt if any equivalent will be found for the PC. Sorry folks....
March 4, 2015 Thanks to each of you for your amazing comments and critiques on my window shadow photo yesterday, I was just blown away and very grateful. The diverse beauty of America never ceases to amaze me. This gorgeous vista is just outside of Jerome, Arizona. At this scenic spot, you can see almost forever. The layers and colors of the landscape beyond this point which rise to the horizon to meet the sky and clouds is just breathtaking. If ever you find yourself here, I assure you that you will be forever grateful to have seen this lovely view. "Years ago - in the 70s, for about a decade - I carried a camera every place I went. And I shot a lot of pictures that were still life and landscape, using available light." ~ Leonard Nimoy RIP Leonard Nimoy Have a beautiful day today my friends. Linda http://lgood.smugmug.com
Black-crowned Night Heron Juvenile - taken on Maui. I really appreciate the comments!
03.04.15 We got snow. EL Jay and I built a couple snowmen. The idea was to "dress" each one in my foto booth props. But then El Jay had the idea to build them behind the car and run them over. So we did. We had a lot of fun. If Life Gives You SNow..... make snowmen?
3/4/15 - Full moon on a snowy night; I took two shots...one to get a decent exposure of the trees and another to get the moon properly exposed. Then I cut out the moon and moved it to replace the other moon which was overexposed. It was almost a full moon, but not quite. Thanks for your comments on my shot of the icy lace. I really enjoy reading your comments every day and am so happy to have such good friends with whom I share a passion.
Wednesday, March 4, 2015 "CLASSY SASSY IN HER WINTER GARB" "That's my gift. I let that negativity roll off me like water off a duck's back. If it's not positive, I didn't hear it. If you can overcome that, fights are easy." ~ George Foreman I had to stop by and see what Sassy was wearing this winter. Her owners are, by their own admittance, "way back in the day graduates of Ole Miss" and therefore, Ole Miss Rebels Black Bear fans. For the record, I am a Mississippi State Bulldogs fan. The last time I saw and photographed Sassy (which was during football season), she was decked out in her Ole Miss cheerleader garb. View that photo here: http://godschild.smugmug.com/FortheLoveofFunnyHumor/For-the-Love-of-Funny-Humor/i-XQMdSkT/A Thank you for perusing, commenting on, and/or giving my photos a "thumbs up."
