July 25, 2014 This is the sixth in a series of 12 quilts located in Carroll County Maryland and part of the American Quilt Trail Movement. This is one “crazy" quilt. This quilt is also on the side of the Carroll Arts Building and not a barn. I like how the red in the upper right corner makes both a "c" and an "a". The CRAZY Quilt is located at: Carroll County Arts Council - 91 W. Main Street, Westminster, MD To see if the movement is in your town go to: http://barnquiltinfo.com
1964 Chevy Pickup Stepside. It looks like the last time it was drivable was in 1998, notice by the window sticker. In the back of the bed there is a cooler (“Sure where he kept his beer”) a pair of cowboy spurs and old boots. My guess is this was a cowboy’s pickup.

7/30/14 - A little girl is almost ready to drift off to sleep; I loved that sort of sleepy, semi-comatose look she had in her eyes. Thanks for your comments on the shot of the VW van with the vodka ad. Also, thanks to everyone who commented on my previous post from the Cherry Creek Arts Festival that somehow turned up in the dailies today, after disappearing totally the day I posted it.
29.07.14 - Weird World :) This is another shot from the punch and Judy Festival in town at the weekend, such a lot of fun! Thank-you for your kind words on my shot yesterday, most of my time is being taken up by Tell Them of Us now, I will keep you updated.
July 30, 2014 Sunflower, I did not have a photo for today so I took a walk around the yard with my macro and finally settled on this one.

One more rodeo shot - I observed that the bronc riders have two different styles. The style shown here where the cowboy sits more or less upright on the horse. In the other style, the cowboy lies back along the horse's back and seems to try to stay that way for the entire eight seconds. The horses also had their styles. In the style shown here, the horse kicks its back heels way up into the air; other horses liked to jump straight up into the air with all four feet off the ground at once. Also, many horses kept bucking for quite a while after the rider was off. At the end of the eight second ride, two other fellas on horseback would get on either side of the rider on the bronc and the rider would grab onto on of the other men and pull himself off the bucking bronc. This actually seemed to be quite an intricate maneuver requiring a lot of skill on the part of the other two cowboys and their horses. Thanks for the comments on my shot of the floating stairs at the federal building. I sure appreciate you all taking the time to stop by and check out my photos. As usual, the week is flying by. Hope you have a great Thursday!

July 30 2014 Dewdrops on a Delphinium. It's amazing that these flowers are only about an inch and a half in diameter, but covered with hundreds of little dew drops. I don't think it would be possible to place this many drops on a flower by hand, but yet nature does it most every night.
