Two fisted eating Adult panda with a bamboo stalk in each paw, Bifeng Xia, Sichuan, China A few other photos of pandas in the woods (plus a proud human mother and baby) can be seen here: http://goo.gl/KYK1YO 11/07/14 www allenfotowild.com
7/11/14 - Sandfest Sand sculpture; this castle had the most incredible details, including the arch and lots of little trees and houses. Thanks for your comments on my shot of the unusual vehicle/sculpture. Much appreciated. I'm still have an awful time with my 'net access. When I do manage to get on and try to comment, I have to wait forever (it seems) to get images to load and sometimes I'm only able to view the thumbnails. Makes it difficult to really see all the high quality photos you folks have posted.
JULY 11 2014 Speed Table, For the ones that have not maybe it to Hawaii, You can find them on side streets, A speed Bump but five times as wide. So that is were the name Speed Table comes from, Happy Friday to all the ones paying taxes.
The name of this zinnia variety is 'Uproar Rose'. Quite appropriate for its riotous fuchsia color, I'd say DP192-2014 Posted July 11; processed ditto A more conventional shot which shows an entire bloom of this zinnia is here: http://smu.gs/1tuoUsU A note about processing on this shot. I tried desaturating the reds and blues in an attempt to bring out more petal detail. It justed made the shot look washed out without raising any significant detail, so I left it as it was, at the original saturation level. Matthaei Botanical Gardens, Ann Arbor July 2, 2014 Title: Raising a Ruckus Thanks so much to all who expressed their enjoyment of yesterday's delphinium shot.
Roman Aqueduct In my attempts to avoid tourists in Rome, I spent yesterday morning in the Parco degli Acquedotti in the southern part of Rome. This one was about 70 km long, built almost 2000 years ago. The park is frequented by joggers and cyclers. The site has been used in several Italian films.
Friday, July 11, 2014 "BRIGHTLY SPECTACULAR" (Tiger Lily) “Never allow a person to tell you no who doesn't have the power to say yes.” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt SOOC, uncropped; flash didn't fire When Maryann (aka fotomom) posted an almost identical photo of an "orange lily" on Thursday, June 5, 2014, I commented that I had taken an identical photo at a church two days prior to her post. This is it. Oh Happy Friday! St. Thomas' Episcopal Church 210 Castleman Street Belzoni, MS Website: http://www.episcopalchurch.org/parish/st-thomas-episcopal-church-belzoni-ms (photo taken 6/4/2014) My Homepage: http://www.Godschild.smugmug.com

July 11, 2014 The crazy cool paint job here, really made this car a standout at the show. It's a 1932 Ford Coupe (and 2 years older than yesterday's car photo). That lakes this car 82 years old. Wow!! It was one of the top 25 winners at the show. There was a lot of competition as you've seen from this series. Bill and I were honored that both of our cars took home top 25 awards in this fierce field of competition of nearly 200 cars at the show. TGIF. I'm happy to say that I'm on an early flight from Birmingham back home to Dallas this morning. B'ham has become my second home and it's a great city. But you road warriors out there know and understand when I say "there's no place like home." Have a colorful day today my friends! Linda http://lgood.smugmug.com
07/02/14 - Gladiolus My Blog One last flower shot taken at the Museum of Life and Science in Durham. HAGD, Maryann
