Finally! The end of my story on our 'Lot at the Lake Re-do'. Above.... the scene as we were getting ready to leave at the end of the second day of the cleanup. Below ... the scene as we drove away on Monday (June 29). Still lots to do, but we now have a most heavenly place to spend our summmer - relaxing and making plans for our next big project. Thanks so much for sticking with me. Sharing this event took a lot longer than I thought it would - I took SO many photos of it all!! There's also over a month of shots of all the other projects that went on to shape that second picture. Many thanks for all your comments & thoughts over this series.... :) 07.02.15
01.07.15 - Safari Here is something completely different from me, some old shots from a safari on the Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru in Kenya in the late 1990s. I was prompted to check out some old transparencies and make this collage after a discussion about heat and high temperatures, as yesterday was apparently the hottest July day in the UK on record. The temperature reached 92F in Lincoln, but was higher at Heathrow airport where the record was actually broken. My personal record is 126F in Death Valley, California by the way!
07-02-2015 "Canna" This orange and yellow canna blooms in a neighbor's yard. Thank you for your comments on my photos and thanks for taking a look at the magazine article. Donna

July 2. This balloon glided over the house yesterday. Love colorful surprises like this!
Today the Black-Crowned Night Heron were by the rocks on the west side of the lake, make great angles to shoot them, also the lake was very calm today and may I add very hot . . .
07.01.15 When Piggy-Banks Fly I know that the phrase "when pigs fly" is used to mean something won't happen. Never. What is the meaning when a piggy bank flies? And is this a good thing or bad thing.
July 1 2015 Celebrating My birthday is tomorrow but we had the family celebration on Sunday. We stopped for this picture after dinner. My ten year old granddaughter Lindsey took this with my heavy DSLR. I think she's got it.
07.02.15 Ghostly Boy El Jay does not like having his picture taken and it is hard to get him to sit still. The light was difficult and in this one, he moved out of the frame before the exposure was complete--giving it a double exposure look. Yesterday I was notified that one of the images I entered in the Springville Art City Days Balloon Fest photo contest won 1st place. YAY Me! January 17 In memory of "Vaks" who passed quietly away yesterday. He was for us a good, loyal friend for 12 years, but as a Fox Terrier also setting his own priorities. He was our ship dog for 6 years when we were yachting in the summertime. When we moved to Fanoe his favorite occupation was hunting rabbits. Until two year ago he caught at least one a day, and was so proud, when he returned home with his catch. This picture was taken in 2002 with my analog Leica M6 camera and later digitalized. Thank you for your comforting comments yesterday .
Sunday, May 15, 2011 "ANTIQUE CHEVY" (The Metamorphosis) "Keep calm and drive a Chevy!" ~ Author Unknown Linda (aka Lgood) is one of the absolute best at capturing automobile shots and their reflections, and I immediately thought of her when I spotted this GM classic. Unfortunately, there wasn't an information card, so I am unsure as to the year of this "oldie but goodie." My hubby's guess is it's a "1930 something Chevy." The pink sign made spectators chuckle. It warned, "UNLESS YOU ARE NUDE.....PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH MY CHEVY! BUCKLES, BELTS, AND BUTTONS SCRATCH." As you can see, I did some pp with this one, but it is uncropped. God is and has been exceptionally kind to all of us; have a blessed and safe Sunday, everyone. Day 181: Hydrangea Flowers-Pink and Blue - July 1. Two hydrangea plants side by side in pink and blue make for a pretty combination with the yellow new flowers opening and bright green leaves.
