19.12.14 - Dusk The dog (white blob bottom left) and I missed the sunset last night, but the sky was still quite nice down by the river. This is a 2 shot photomerge panorama comprising the whole sky, south (left) to west (right). Over the river you can also see that the fields are flooded, this always happens at this time of year, the land is so low lying here. Only a couple more nights and the sun will start it's journey back north across the sky and the days will get longer again :)
Mallard - taken near Olympia, Wa. I appreciate the comments!

Cotton-grass grows in wetlands. They are app. 30 cm (1 ft) high, so I got wet elbows and stomach to catch them at this angle
Tuesday, March 27, 2012 "HUMPTY DUMPTY" by Kimber Fiebiger "Love all; trust a few; do wrong to none." ~ Unknown Author And the nursery rhyme goes like this............ 'Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall: Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the King's horses and all the King's men Couldn't put Humpty Dumpty back together again.' Well, Kimber Fiebiger of Minneapolis, Minnesota made this delightful sculpture because she, "Just loves to put a smile on people's faces." Looks like Humpty Dumpty has been put back together again and is back on his throne, which I hope brings a smile to your face. Kim's official website is here: http://www.joanofart.com/?page_id=30 In the words of a great gospel song by Donnie McClurkin, "We fall down, but we get up!" Actually, Oprah Winfrey may have said it best: "If you should happen to fall, turn your wounds into wisdom." Finally, this is the last of the public art series in Mesa, AZ. Thank you for your appreciation and patience. A few more public art pieces can be viewed here: http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/20517416_FzGW22#!i=1656884744&k=fw75TPW Have a "well put together" and terrific Tuesday, my friends. ***#1 photo of the day and all-time*** (photo taken 12/28/2011) My Homepage: http://www.Godschild.smugmug.com
Single color . If you look at the horizon line you will see a number of windmills. We have a lot of offshore windmill parks around our country and they produce 30 % of our total power consumption and this percentage is increasing from year to year
Yesterday I woke up at sunrise. The sun was barely over the horizon at southeast. As I looked out of my bedroom window I saw this landscape to the northwest with the full moon as a golden coin. I at once grabbed my camera, opened the window even as the temperature was minus 10° centigrade and made some shots. Here is one of them. 10 minutes later the sun was well over the horizon, the sky was lit and the moon hardly to be seen.
I'm going to get out there and play in these gorgeous leaves before we get a major snowfall! Sunny all day but cold! Will comment lots tomorrow cause my weekend has been frantic! Thank god it;s Monday! TGIM xxxx 03/11/14
