Friday, July 25, 2014 "ALONE" “It is better to be alone than in bad company." ~ George Washington I like sitting by the window, bird watching, and taking in the activity on the "Rez" when dining at this restaurant. Afterwards, I followed this duck and snapped several shots, but I favored this one. It looked so sad, despairing, and lonesome to me. I watched it get out of the water and make its way to dry land - all the while keeping its eyes on the ducks that remained in the water. The weather was perfect and the day was beautiful. Have a day of being alone, but not lonely - or in great company; the choice is yours! This is one of the four 1966 GT 350 Drag Cars built by Shelby. I had the pleasure of standing about 20 feet from the car when the owner decided to start the engine within the building. The sound was quite impressive.
24.07.14 - Let the Games Commence This is the centre of town at the moment, with a big screen so that people can watch the Commonwealth Games while shopping! There is a continental food market on the High Street behind me, and I did spend a few minutes on the astroturf eating a French Tart while England's Brownlee brothers took gold and silver in the triathlon :)
On Deck: For Donna McCommon - Not as good as yesterday's baseball bat post from Donna. FYI - I'm going be on vacation for 2 weeks !!- I won't be able to comment or post. I'll be back on the 5th of August - I'm looking forward to posting pics from the beach!!! Take care!!! 07/25/2014
07-25-2014 "Gaited Mule" To me this looked like a horse with big ears. I learned it is a gaited mule and has a very smooth ride. It has characteristics of a horse and a donkey. For the mule to be gaited, both parents must be gaited. I had never heard of this particular breed. Once again, photography has been a source of learning for me. Thanks for your comments on the baseball bats. Comments and critiques are always welcome and appreciated. Donna
