Thursday, October 30, 2014 "COLLAGE OF ABSTRACTS" "Collage is like a hall of mirrors. Every direction you look, you see something different and visually stimulating." ~ Nita Leland A collage comprised of abstracts that were previously featured as my daily photos - arranged in the order of their debut (beginning with the most recent) First of all, thank you for your overwhelmingly kind comments yesterday regarding my "Ripe, Red, and Wet" abstract photo. Judy (aka fotoeffects) suggested that I create a collage; I obliged; and this is it. Additionally, Trusalda (aka TruImages) suggested that I purchase 20x30 prints of abstracts in this series and hang them on the walls of our home. I am in the process of making that happen, as well. Moreover, I really do appreciate professionally appropriate and constructive critiques, creative and ingenious ideas, and helpful suggestions from SmugMuggers and non-SmugMuggers who take the time to peruse and/or comment on my photos. On the contrary, all other bovine excrement (aka BS) from cowards such as "Guest" or Anonymous persons will be deleted. Amen! Hang in there; tomorrow is Friday! (collage created 10/29/2014)
2014-10-30. South Carolina Sunrise. Thank you for your views/comments on my Leaves photo. And to Judy, I shot the underside of the leaves, and they were protected by a wall. The other side doesn't look so healthy :-) Karen
October 30, 2014 In the Upper Antelope Canyon, you can see so much. Here I think I see a wolf. What do you see? Have a wonderful day! Linda http://lgood.smugmug.com

10/30/14 - Chromophasia (Rhythms in Color) by Marc Fornes in aluminum; this work of art is in a stairwell in the orchid house at the Denver Botanic Gardens. I love the patterns the light coming from above and passing through the cutouts in the aluminum make on the walls. Thanks for your comments on my shot of the folks with the umbrellas at the botanic gardens.

October 30, 2014 Reflections of Fall

I've taken a lot of photos of ivy this year as it has changed colors in the fall. It was the weird growth pattern of this particular patch which caught my eye, as much as the colors. DP303-2014 Posted October 30; processed October 28 Ruthven Museum of Natural History, University of Michigan Taken October 25, 2014 Title: Even Ivy Can Change Its Mind Thanks for all the kind words about yesterday's 'Perception' post, and the comments to several of my earlier posts. All are very much appreciated.
French Marigolds ,,,,in my front garden and they are still blooming ! The blooms droop very shortly after appearance so I check often. This is for cheer . Target has good prices on Halloween candy so I'm ready for little Goblins. Will keep looking for Nathan's pictures and comment later tonight. I hope his little boy Marcus, is not too sad.post for 30/10/14
October 30, 2014 One of the many boat docks on Caddo Lake. The cypress trees turn a brilliant coral orange. That color against the moss is such a unique contrast. If the weather holds we will be back on this lake Sunday in hopes of capturing the color. Thank you for your comments on the Caddo Lake shot yesterday. Caddo Lake is an eerie and fascinating place and one that is very easy to get lost in. There are numerous sloughs and byways all lined with tall cypress. We use the GPS on our boat to track were we have been and how to get back to where we launched. We have heard stories of people getting lost for hours. I have been having trouble getting my posts to show up in the dailies. Thank you for those of you who look for me and comment Have a great day Jeanne
'Pumpkins' (best larger) Happy Halloween! Sorry, best I could do for pumpkins and fall grasses here in Japan. Fishing floats and coiled ropes, taken at the harbour in Naruto, Shikoku Island. I headed to Shizuoka and the Mount Fuji area this morning on the Bullet Train (Shinkansen) to give some more talks, but hopefully also get some shots of Mt. Fuji in the fall. 31/10/14 www.allenfotowild.com
