October 30, 2014 One of the many boat docks on Caddo Lake. The cypress trees turn a brilliant coral orange. That color against the moss is such a unique contrast. If the weather holds we will be back on this lake Sunday in hopes of capturing the color. Thank you for your comments on the Caddo Lake shot yesterday. Caddo Lake is an eerie and fascinating place and one that is very easy to get lost in. There are numerous sloughs and byways all lined with tall cypress. We use the GPS on our boat to track were we have been and how to get back to where we launched. We have heard stories of people getting lost for hours. I have been having trouble getting my posts to show up in the dailies. Thank you for those of you who look for me and comment Have a great day Jeanne

29.10.14 - Magic Mushrooms Here is a collage to show off even more of the incredible display of fungi at Swanholme Lakes nature reserve at this time of year. It is a combination of Alice in Wonderland and an alien planet. To get the best photos I think you have to lay on your stomach, luckily we've had a long run of dry weather and the ground isn't wet!
Sunflower: The cold weather is starting to settle in her in the northeast so I figured that one more flower shot should be in order. Happy Thursday!! 10/30/2014
