Friday, January 23, 2015 "MYSTICAL MIST" “The Bible is a fountain of wisdom and knowledge.” ~ Lailah Gifty Akita Yesterday, I mentioned in my commentary that water has been the theme of my DPC photos lately. Well, this is the final one in this series. Surprisingly, I didn't notice the two black ducks in the 29-acre 100 million gallon effluent lake until after uploading the photo. It was a beautiful day and the weather was perfect! Fountain Hills just wouldn’t be Fountain Hills without its namesake Fountain! Built in 1970, The Fountain first operated on December 15th of that year. For more than a decade after its debut, it was the world’s tallest fountain, but now it is in the top five. The fountain in St. Louis, MO is the tallest. Normally, it is operated with two of three pumps reaching 330 feet high and can be seen for miles around Fountain Hills. On special occasions, it is run with all three pumps operating and reaches a lofty height of 560 feet - higher than the Washington Monument! I am appreciative that you peruse, comment, and/or "thumbs up" my photo(s), and I never take for granted that you take the time to do so. Oh Happy Friday! Thursday, January 22, 2015 "ELECTRIC FOUNTAIN" "Look within. Within is the fountain of good, and it will ever bubble up, if thou wilt ever dig." ~ Marcus Aurelius Throwback Thursday...... Water seems to be the theme of my posts lately. This fountain was originally photographed in 2009, but it is depicted here as another one of my artistic creations (post processed) with Topaz Labs. The end result reminds me of electricity, thus the caption:). View the original photo here: http://godschild.smugmug.com/HolidaysHoliday-Travel/Easter-Campmeeting-Weekend/i-zxhJs8W/A Thanks for viewing, commenting, and/or giving my photos a "thumbs up!" Hang in there; tomorrow is Friday! NOTE: I noticed that two of my previous car shots (daily posts on May 15, 2011 and July 2, 2011) are reappearing in the DPC today (and have on previous days, as well). Thanks to whomever is giving them a "thumbs up," but I welcome and would appreciate a comment so that I can properly thank you.
