Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi The "Four Rivers" fountain on Piazza Navona in Rome was designed by Bernini and finished in 1651, symbolizing the four continents where there was papal influence. And for you Dan Brown fans, I found no cardinal in the pool, nor could I say which direction the dove on the top is pointing.
July 12, 2014 " Its a Queen" We usually have a herd of these in the yard, but there were only 3 yesterday, but that is an improvement over none!
07-12-2014 "Feeding Time" I don't know if this bird was going to feed babies or was going to enjoy the berries itself. Either way it had a mouth full! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on my photos. I haven't been able to comment like I would like but hopefully will slow down a little and get caught up. Donna
July 11, 2014 Captured this Banded Pennant Dragonfly at our pond yesterday. Love the sparkle in his wings from the morning sun. Thank you for the great comments on Joshua Drakes photo's. Today is our 34 anniversary so we will be out and about enjoying the day together. I will comment as I can. Happy Friday! Jeanne
JULY 12 2014 Gardenia in the front yard.
Golden hour Jul 11 Sun setting over Jordan lake, peeking through the trees.
THE RAVEN(s) "Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter, In there stepped a stately Raven of the saintly days of yore." I was checking the sky out my front windows to determine if there was a sunset worth capturing, when these HUGE black birds landed in front of the window to eat the plums dropped from the purple leaf plum tree. I grabbed my camera and headed out the front door...they barely noticed me...and eventually flew to land on the neighbor's roof. Their silhouette against the golden sunset was very ominous!
07.11.14 A mascot for one of the Middle Schools at the 4th of July Parade. Yesterday was not a good day in many ways, but we got this far and today is already feeling better.

"The Tumbling Bear..." Rob Harrison, "The Tumbling Bear" has been flying the Planes of Fame Airshow since the early 1990's.This shot shows him flying a military trainer from the Czech Republic, the Zin 142c. This plane and it's predecessors, the 42 and straight 142, though introduced as civilian aerobatic trainers, are true warbirds, used by many of our Cold War adversaries as the basic trainer for combat pilots. It has even been used as a fighter. What makes this plane interesting is, it has a supercharged inverted 6 cylinder motor, and the propeller spins backwards, also made in Czech. There's only about six of these in the US and Rob is the only one flying airshows with it. http://www.harrisonairshows.com/index.html Planes of Fame Air Show, May 3-4, 2014 Chino Airport Chino, CA Thanks for your views and comments on yesterday's post, much appreciated! Critiques welcome... 12 July 2014
