January 25, 2015 Thanks so much for your comments on my "Crazy Cool Paint Job" that was my POTD yesterday. Your inputs were very much appreciated. This windmill was seen in a small valley in Western Texas. Windmills (both of this variety and the modern) have always attracted my eye and generally my camera. This was processed using a Topaz Impression filter. I rather liked the way it turned out. "God made the country, and man made the town." ~William Cowper, The Task Thank you for your comments and critiques. Have a wonderful day today my friends! Linda http://lgood.smugmug.com

January 25 2015 Art Hill and the Grand Basin We were in St. Louis in September and went through Forest Park. The park is larger than Central Park in New York. This was shot from in front of the Art Institute there. The hill is known as Art Hill and the body of water is the Grand Basin.
Still holding on in winter. My thanks to all for your CC on yesterdays image!

24.01.15 - Snowdrops Snowdrops are always the first flowers to start popping up in January, I've been waiting for them for a few days now, looking in their usual spots. These are in a churchyard just down the road from our house, just a single group so far, hopefully there will be a lot more in the coming days
