3/19/13 - Old locomotive at Old Town Tucson. Thanks so muich for your warm response, making my shot of the Presidio arches the #1 shot for the day. A few more of you preferred the color version, but quite a few thought the b/w version was better. Thanks for sharing your opinions with me!

Sunday, May 15, 2011 "ANTIQUE CHEVY" (pp version) "Keep calm and drive a Chevy!" ~ Unknown Author Linda (aka Lgood) is one of the absolute best at capturing automobile shots and their reflections, and I immediately thought of her when I spotted this GM classic. Unfortunately, there wasn't an information card, so I am unsure as to the year of this "oldie but goodie." My hubby's guess is it's a "1930 something Chevy." The pink sign made spectators chuckle. It warned, "UNLESS YOU ARE NUDE.....PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH MY CHEVY! BUCKLES, BELTS, AND BUTTONS SCRATCH." As you can see, I did some pp with this one, but it is uncropped. God is and has been exceptionally kind to all of us; have a blessed and safe Sunday, everyone. Hootie! This poor little owl was knocked out of its nest by a bunch of crows! I will be taking it to a man tomorrow, that specializes in Birds of Prey.
I waited for 6 months for the sun to go down in the midle of the road. Fortunately it did not rain that day. I brought a boy with me to wave good night to the sun. Suddenly I saw the birds comming from the left, and got them in "the decive moment".

I captured this moonset photo the morning the moon was it's closest to the earth in the past 18 years, March 19 2010. The sun still had not risen, so, the light you see in the clouds and reflected on the ocean was from the incredibly bright full moon as it was setting over the Pacific Ocean. We've had virtually non-stop rain over the past week, and this morning was no different - so I was lucky the moon peeked out of the clouds just a bit to add some mystical moonlight to the ocean and clouds.

22.3.09 - Comfort Zone When I joined the Dailies just over a year ago one of my stated goals was to "get out of my landscape comfort zone". There have been times when I've retreated deeply into my comfort zone, but this weekend hasn't been one of them. I've been working as a stills photographer on this project http://www.theladyofshalott.co.uk/index.html and today was the last big film shoot. My main role was to take individual shots of the actors for their portfolios, but I also took a lot of candids and general shots to record the event. All will be revealed in late May when the film is launched, but until then the imagery and style of the film is being closely managed. I can honestly say that I've never worked with such a wonderful bunch of talented individuals, and the whole experience has been magical. Unfortunately, I now have to process so many photos that I'll be AWOL from the Dailies again for another day or so. I know you'll be patient with me, and I hope this photo will maintain your interest until I can reveal a bit more :)
