One of the earliest woodland wildflowers, and to my eyes, the loveliest. Bloodroot, Sanguinaria canadensis, native to northeast North America. DP108-2015 Posted Saturday, April 18. Taken April 17, Hidden Lake Gardens, Michigan Title: Bloodroot Bursting to Life

4/18/15 - I recently processed this shot taken a bit outside Olympic National Park in Washington, I think someone was actually living here. It definitely gives you a good idea of how damp it is there. We saw many houses with moss growing on their roof shingles. It must be a constant maintenance effort to keep it off. Thanks for your comments and sympathy of the spring snow shot. Hopefully, it did not last long enough to damage the blooming trees too much.
Dreamy trees
Saturday, April 18, 2015 "HELLO, SPRING FLOWERS!" (Bradford Pear Tree) "If you reveal your secrets to the wind, you should not blame the wind for revealing them to the trees." ~ Khalil Gibran If you notice, most of the Bradford pear flowers were on the opposite side of the tree in the yard at this residence. It had rained the day before and was muddy; so, for obvious reasons, I opted to photograph this cluster of blooms hanging lower from the limbs and illuminated by the sun. A residence on the side of Lakeside United Methodist Church Lake Village, AR Have a great weekend! (photo taken 3/23/2015) My Homepage: www.Godschild.SmugMug.com

18/04/15 lane ways are a little dull till budding begins so these were on sale in a garden center. Rob went to the driving range across the road from here and I had such a hard time choosing what color I wanted. The pinks were stunning but they had soft creamy colors with tints of purple, peach and pale rose in the middle of the blooms. These blues were the healthiest!! yay sunny day!!
April 18. Found this Red Highland while taking the road less traveled. He's gonna get hot soon.
