Immature Peregrine Falcon - from a series I took in December. Underexposed and bit noisy but I like the POV and the ambient light on the eye. Taken near Olympia, Wa. I really appreciate the comments!
1/29/15 - Snowstorm in Colorado Springs, better in the largest size. I find snowstorms challenging to capture well, so I take a lot of shots when I have the opportunity. I was pleased with this one. Thanks for your comments on my shot of the weed seedheads in the light.
29/01/15 Melted all day but more snow for the weekend. The afternoon sun was so enticing!! Happy ,,,almost Febuary! yay!
1/29/2015 ~ Old Guys Rule An old truck in Adrain, Texas, the midway point on Route 66. People from the world over have signed this old truck. The texture you see on the truck and windshield is frost. It was in the teens that morning!
Meet Ruby, my grand-puppy…. My daughter’s bulldog - she’s quite the character. There is only one way to do anything and that is Ruby’s way…. or it just doesn’t get done! She’s smart, funny, totally adorable and we love her to bits, of course! 01.29.15
01.29.15 Frosty Hydrant. South Ogden, Utah. I need to find the motivation to get out and shoot.

28.01.15 - Saturn Rising Another "under alien skies" composite inspired by the guys at Roscosmos who produced some stunning images recently. If you want to try one of these there are lots of free wallpapers out there of planets or sci-fi skyscapes, the possibilities are endless really. I find the hardest thing is to match the sky colours, and a misty scene helps with the blending I have a small gallery of these here; http://johnloguk.smugmug.com/Photography/UNDER-ALIEN-SKIES/47186401_qW6hrD#!i=3846553564&k=vjB8JWT
Willamette Valley from the Amtrak train
I was needing to see a little color...so I dug some out from the summer!!
Woman walking across flooded rice paddies at sunrise The Honghe Hani rice terraces are a recently designated UNESCO World Heritage site in the south of Yunnan province, China (just north of the border with Vietnam). They cascade down the Ailao mountains to the banks of the Hong River and have been in constant cultivation for the last 1300 years. They are truly marvellous to see and photograph.
