We stayed at the Fortress, an exquisite hotel with a fortress type of a facade. The architecture inside had Dutch and Portuguese styles. Situated next to the blue waters of the Indian Ocean it had a lot of open space and the rooms were also very spacious. A gym, a spa, a swimming pool over looking the sea and lush greenery made this a perfect place to relax after a day around the city. more pics: http://hershy.smugmug.com/gallery/7035963_RG9it/1/456783652_BHMxG more info: http://www.thefortress.lk/index.html ==== Answer to John UK ==== You are absolutely correct John! This is my 1975 Porsche, which we had restored a year or so ago. I took the photo at the Sonic in Woodland Park, where we had driven for a Father's Day outing. I forgot about the photos I took that day and just rediscovered them and processed them. I've had the Porsche for about 20 years. Thanks to everyone who commented on my Balloon Man and Little Girl shot. I have to admit that I thought there was something sort of universal in the interaction between them. The week seems to be barreling along. I hope you have a good day today!
October 1, 2007 My fav spot at the lake. Rick your right, I can't seem to get enough of these shots.
Rachael: Introducing my friend Rachael....She was a bit apprehensive with me taking her picture (I guess all of us are a bit self-conscious about how we view ourselves to a degree ) but I told her that if she didn't like the shot then I'd be more than happy to delete it. I really wanted to use my strobe but we were at a pool match and the light would have distracted the shooters. Oh well - maybe next time. I ended up shooting this at F5.0 --- .025s ---- ISO 3200 I will be gone for a little over 2 weeks (Going on vacation!!!! - We're taking the kids on a Disney Cruise and to Florida!) See you in a little over 2 weeks!!!!! 04/10/2015

The Fantasy: This is the Disney Fantasy. This ship is enormous. At 1115 feet - she is 17 feet longer than an aircraft carrier. She has 16 decks and has a passenger capacity of 4,000 people and a crew of 1500. Thank you for you comments and critiques - I appreciate them all!! Have a great weekend and I'll see you on Monday! 05/01/2015
