Who am I? Aug 26 A strange type of waterfowl, but very focused on catching dinner! Update: Thanks to Terry Allen for identifying this as a muscovy duck!
Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs has fantastic views, throw in a thunder storm and things get real interesting. Sharp eyed viewers will spot a climber on one of the formations.
Entrance to Vienna II This is another shot of the bridge at the beginning of the Danube Canal, designed by Otto Wagner. I posted an 'almost silhouette' about a week ago (http://www.jerrybarton.eu/Miscellaneous/DailyPicks/i-qN6H6cW). This shot has a fair amount of pp - some Orton, some Topaz Detail, a brighter sky, some change of colors. I wanted more 'illustration' rather than reality.

AUG 27 2014 It's a beautiful morning
I waited for 6 months for the sun to go down in the midle of the road. Fortunately it did not rain that day. I brought a boy with me to wave good night to the sun. Suddenly I saw the birds comming from the left, and got them in "the decive moment".

Nana, a very cute puppy - Jan 24 2009 Today my Caroline had to do her license test agility with Blue (which they passed easily), time to see our agility friend again and some new puppies. This little gal stole my heart instantly, good job she's already taken ;-) So I have to settle with some pictures of her.

Day 132 - The morning sun strikes rock formations in the Grand Canyon, as seen from the North Rim in Arizona; detail in this image is best viewed in a larger size. This shot of the Grand Canyon is one I recently rediscovered in my archives from the early fall and reprocessed. I used a number of different effects, including Topaz Adjust, Color EFEX Pro, and some regular Photoshop filter and blending effects. If you view the large size, you will really see some detail! I'm going to post this and go to bed. I hope you all have a really nice day! It is supposed to be quite warm here today. It got up to 65 degrees in Colorado Springs today, not a good day to sleep away. Oh. well. Oh, if some of you should like to look at the other North Rim Grand Canyon shots, they are here: http://fotoeffects.smugmug.com/gallery/6698528_KNq6d#476011624_efKkk.
2-02: This is another from Saturday's sunset. Several people have asked if the colors are real (natural) in yesterday's. It was taken as three bracketed exposures but only at -1, 0 and 1. Then combined in Photomatix. Then final processing in Capture NX2 (mostly brightness and focus adjustments) I didn't change any colors. I did actually have to desaturate a little because the orange and reds tend to be over saturated sometimes. I used the same processing on today's post. This one was actually taken a few minutes before the one I posted yesterday, so the clouds are more orange than red or pink
