Rain forest reflections and floating leaves (best larger) This is a small pool (wet lands in the dry season) in the rain forest above Squamish, British Columbia. You can see the rain forest trees and the sky reflected in the pool and all the tiny leaves floating on the pool surface. In many ways this is a typical rain forest scene from the North Temperate rainforest of coastal British Columbia. The Squamish River Valley has long been recognized as one of the most significant areas of wintering bald eagles (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) in North America. In late November, December and January the Squamish River is host to hundreds, and even thousands of bald eagles (world record of 3769 eagles), who come to the river to feast on the chum salmon run. I'm going to try to drive up there this year to take some photos. Other photos taken in the area of the Sea to Sky gondola can be seen here: http://goo.gl/pWSnIJ 22/10/14 www.allenfotowild.com

Day 289: Red Mill in Autumn - Oct 21. A photograph of the historic Red Mill Museum in Clinton N.J with autumn foliage. This mill is often photographed and I enjoy getting there in spring and again in fall to take photos. I was premature as the leaves have not completely turned as yet but it was still a pretty sight.
10/22/14 - Crabapples; to me, getting a good dof on a shot like this is one of the most challenging things in photography. I don't want to have only one or two of the crabapples in focus, so I'm pretty pleased with this shot. I also like the bokeh here. Thanks for your comments on my shot of the golden sumac. I enjoyed reading them all!

Can you imagine how lovely this color is on a rainy day like today? We pull into the drive and I'm greeted with bright and fancy flowers. Too busy to comment tonight but will do double time tomorrow. Good health wishes to Tina and John B. Thanks to all smuggers for lovely comments and feedback! LOVE to ALL!!!!!!!!!!!
