The view is of the west interior side of the University of Michigan Law Quad, with a portion of the north side along the left edge of the image. The merge or stitch is from five portrait or vertical format singles, shot RAW, hand held, manual exposure (see below for common EXIF data). I processed them in Lightroom to remove noise and chromatic aberrations, but nothing more. I selected them and asked LR to merge them in Photoshop, allowing PS to select automatically what it felt was the best algorithm. I cropped the resulting panomerge, merged the layers, and finished editing the shot for exposure, contrast, sharpening, etc. I did a small amount of straightening with the 'transform/distort' feature in PS, but impressively, very little was actually needed after the merge. DP125-2015 Posted Tuesday, May 5. Shared camera settings for the singles used in the panorama: Sony Nex-7, ISO 400, f/16, 1/250 sec, 43 mm focal length (equiv to 64 mm full frame 35 mm format) Taken May 3, 2015. Processed May 4. "Fancy" : The kids were dressed in their "Fancy" cloths for dinner (formal night) - This was kind of a tough shot to get - I was trying to balance the interior and exterior lighting, I wanted to get the ocean and the kids without getting the reflection of the strob in the glass or washing out the window - it took a couple of tries and this is the result. Happy Tuesday!! 05/05/2015
I thought the cloud looked like a poodle flying, and maybe some other creatures as well.

Cabin in the Woods May 5 A little cabin, tucked away in the woods, is perfectly positioned at the lake's shore.
5/5/15 - Tulips past their prime; I selected the tulips, inversed the selection and blurred the bg. Looks best in the largest size. Thanks for your comments on my shot of the antiques in the shop in Manitou. Much appreciated.
May 5, 2015 Here's the backstory of this shot: After having been on a business trip all last week, I landed at Love Field Friday afternoon around 3:30. Friday afternoon traffic is ALWAYS bad, but this past Friday it was hideous! There were to protest rallies downtown and the sky was filled with news helicopters, I-35 was just inching along. So as a way to get around the freeway, I took a route that I normally don't travel. This took me under the fantastic Margaret Hunt Hill bridge which I think is stunning in it's design. As I was slowly creeping under the bridge, I pulled out my point & shoot that stays in the car all the time, and just held it up through the windshield. I didn't really know what kind of shot I would get, but I liked several of them. This is the one that I liked best. Rather than a "drive by" shot, it's a "drive under" shot. "Bridges become frames for looking at the world around us." ~ Bruce Jackson Thank you for your comments and critiques. I'm off again this morning for another week away from home (sigh), but will comment as much as I can. Have a great week friends! Linda http://www.smugmug.com

05.05.15 Saturday we were told there was another park just up the road from the park we were at. We went there Sunday and it has a great playground (Yes, the Boy says we can return) and a big soccer field. There were a lot of people there playing soccer. I have to say, because this is part of the story, that I may have been the only non-hispanic there....... These two girls came over and wanted to pet Champ. Then they wanted to walk her. I said OK. The older girl said, "My name is Stephanie and my sister is Ashley." I said, "My son's name is Logan Julio" (El Jay. LJ.) She gave me an odd look. Then looked at El Jay and said, "But Julio is an Hispanic name." I wanted to say, well, Ashley and Stephanie aren't Hispanic names and you are Hispanic, but I said, "He is part Mexican and part Apache." She looked me up and down and replied, "What are you?" (Scottish and Swedish and Welsh and Spanish and Swiss and....a melting pot.) "I'm American." A few minutes later, she went over to EL Jay and said, "Hi, I'm Stephanie." He said, "Hola, I am Logan Julio Reyes." She said, "¿Cómo estás?" He answered, "Bien."
Wooo hooooo Talk about a thrill,,, but I 'll pass on this one. This guy went on twice!!!! 05/05/15 Did you find your shoes on the ground Judy? I've been on these when I was young but my tummy doesn't like them anymore.
