When winter has finally well and truly departed, ice is the only thing I'll miss. Ice in all its marvelous myriad forms. DP088-2015 Posted Sunday, March 29; processed ditto River ice in the splash zone. Huron River at Gallup Park. Taken March 28. Additional photos of the weird shapes in which the ice formed can be seen in this gallery: http://arctangent.smugmug.com/SeasonsoftheYear-3/1st-Winter/Snow-and-Ice-details/6892531_52KFj8 Title: Ice Cold Lemonade - Consolation Prize for Freezing Spring Temperatures
March 29, 2015 This is a re-do of a photo taken through the windshield of the car as we drove through the George Wallace tunnel near Mobile a few years ago. It was done with Topaz Glow, and I think it gave it a real feeling of speed. Here's a link to a similar (not the exact shot), that's not been PP'd so you can see the tunnel as it was seen from the car: http://lgood.smugmug.com/Daily-Photos/Daily-Photos-1/i-vSz2wGS I'm going back through my archives as I find the time and reworking some photos. Mainly because I haven't had the time to get out and shoot anything new to speak of, and also because it's fun to go back and revisit some of your older shots. Thank you all for your comments on yesterday's Bradford Pear blooms, I so appreciate you! Thank you for your comments and critiques! Have a wonderful day! Linda http://lgood.smugmug.com
28.03.15 - Lincoln Cathedral It is a long time since I posted any shots from inside the cathedral as my Daily. This weekend is "Discover Lincolnshire Weekend" when many places, including the cathedral, waive their entry fees to encourage more people to visit. Lincoln Cathedral is over 900 years old, the 3rd largest gothic cathedral in Europe and for over 200 years was the tallest building in the world. It is hard to find new views of such a well photographed building, but I keep trying

3/29/15 - A Morgan parked in downtown Santa Fe; thought I'd let you folks see what the entire car looks like. Thanks for your comments on my shot of the outside of the Museum of Contemporary Indian Art.

For the last 3 days we had a visit of 5 family members. We were very busy entertaining them so I had little time to post pictures. One of them was my youngest granddaughter, a real darling, so I shall share this picture with you
July 20, 2013 This unusual 1950 Chrysler Windsor was at the same car show as the car photo I showed yesterday. However, it's most unusual feature is that the owner has ground all of the paint off down to the bare metal. I don't think I've ever seen a car done this way before, but it was pretty cool. Have a day filled with shiny, happy things. Linda
