21.05.15 - Photo Walk These are just a few shots from my guided photo walk on Wednesday evening, it took me most of yesterday to finish processing all the shots! This was one of the best photo walks we've ever had, so much done and seen. We started off at the new tank memorial that featured yesterday as my Daily. Then we walked through the nearby university campus and out of the city along the Roman canal of Foss Dyke. There is a whole different world along there, a community living in old boats of all shapes and sizes. Then we visited an old waterboard pumping station, now derelict and the domain of graffit artists, with Mother Nature slowly reclaiming it. We also visited the nature reserve of Boultham Mere with it's colony of rare and endangered water violets, possibly my favourite wildflower. We photographed the sunset from the Main Drain, one of a complex network of flood defences around the city, before walking back into town as darkness fell. It was meant to take 2 hours but was nearer to 3 by the time we finished!

Chilly wet Shelby, needed some cuddle time to warm up after too long in the rain.... I've been missing a few days - we're back in our routine of 4 days at the lake & 4 days home, so I'll post when I can and catch up with comments later today. Hope all is well with all of you! 05.22.15

I knew I could use is as a daily post and then realized it fit in the challenge. Your comments and critiques are always welcome and appreciated. Donna
Day 142: US Air Force Thunderbirds NYC - May 22. Happy Memorial Day weekend!! A shot of six U.S. Air Force F-16 Thunderbirds in the skies over the Hudson River as part of a flyover around New York City. Thanks to all who commented on my USS San Antonio in NYC posts.
Day 141: USS San Antonio - May 21. Another shot of the USS San Antonio from yesterday. Here she has reached the NYC midtown area and is about to reach her temporary Fleet Week space.. She was guided into the port, near to the Intrepid Museum, by tugboats. Some of the ships participating in Fleet Week will have times slotted for visitors to visit and have tours of the ship.
Blif is eager to learn, but as a puppy he also like to play and test our patience. Today we had a 3 km walk on the beach without leach but with lots of tidbits. the only incident was when we met another dog. then all education was forgotten. Well the other dog was friendly and they played around for a time and then he joined me again
