1956... Thanks for your views and comments! Critiques welcome... 23 August 2014
October 19, 2014 For Indigo's color challenge I'm sharing another photo from Upper Antelope Canyon. While it is not a single color, it is a family of colors and they are all found in this amazing canyon. It's hard to describe how lovely the canyon is, and how awe-inspiring it is when you are there. We will certainly go back again someday, hopefully in the early spring when the light is said to be even better. "Nature always wears the colors of the spirit." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson Have a colorful day today my friends! Linda http://lgood.smugmug.com
Colorful bouquet... These fresh cut flowers decorated our table where we dined out recently... Thank you for your views and comments! Critiques welcome... Don’t brag about tomorrow, since you don’t know what the day will bring. Proverbs 27:1 NLT www.biblegateway.com 19 October 2014
2013-11-28. Giving Thanks! Added Note: I'm reaching the end of my goal to post through November in the Daily Community. Thank you to all my SM friends for your kindness and support. And also keeping me motivated to shoot more and learn how to use my camera better. There is still so much I want to learn ... "Kind & Generous" sung and written by Natalie Merchant You've been so kind and generous I don't know how you keep on giving For your kindness I'm in debt to you For your selflessness, my admiration And for everything you've done You know I'm bound... I'm bound to thank you for it You've been so kind and generous I don't know how you keep on giving For your kindness I'm in debt to you And I never could have come this far without you So for everything you've done You know I'm bound... I'm bound to thank you for it I want to thank you For so many gifts You gave with love and tenderness I want to thank you I want to thank you For your generosity The love and the honesty That you gave me I want to thank you Show my gratitude My love and my respect for you I want to thank you I want to... Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you

October 19, 2014 - Patterns in B &W I have been challenged by Lavanya Nellore to post a black and white image each day for the next five days. Each day that I post, I will be passing the challenge along to another photographer. this is my first post in the series.. I usually love to photograph in the vivid colors that nature gives me, but it is always interesting to see patterns, textures and contrasts in BW. I now nominate Tom Reichert to step up to the challenge. I know he will come up with some wonderful shots !
11-23-12 This is one of my favorite images that I decided to share. Critiques Welcome.

October 17, 2014 So sorry I didn't get to comment much yesterday, but will try to do so today. Thanks to everyone for your comments on my Antelope Canyon shot. This is a 4-shot HDR from the road near Lake Powell, close to Page, Arizona. We stopped on the side of the highway and I set up my tripod because I loved the way the sun was hitting the distance sandstone hills, and the rain clouds beyond them. You can't see the lake from this vantage point, but I assure you it's a beauty. Tomorrow, I'll post another photo that does show a portion of this enormous lake. The day this photo was taken was the day that we had originally planned to take the Antelope Canyon tour; however, it had been raining off and on all day and they closed the canyon due to concerns (valid) about the potential for flash floods in the slot canyons. So we went exploring, and although wet at times, it was a wonderful day to travel around and see the surrounding beauty of the countryside. 12-26: Another from the golf course on Wednesday morning. There was a heavy frost on the trees which, in this shot, was helping to pick up a glow from the sun.

Foggy Path, September 18, 2011 Photo Taken in the Craggy Gardens, in the Blue Ridge mountains of NC. (Between Mt. Mitchell and Asheville). Elevation approx. 5,500. This Trail is approximately 1.5 miles long and can be accessed from the Blue Ridge parkway. This path does have a kind of spooky quality about it with its tunnels of Rhododendrons and thick jagged brush. Fog really adds to the effect. Thanks so much for the very generous comments from so many great photographers here on Smugmug Jeff Graham
