I couldn't decide on which version of this image I wanted to put up today so instead of going nuts I decided to place them BOTH in my daily gallery since I was a day behind on my listings anyway. This is the COLOR version that has been processed using NIK COLOR EFEX PRO 3 and then adding some minor Contrast & sharpening. The B&W version of can be seen as the next image in this gallery or if you can here by way of the Daily main page you can CLICKING HERE

Let me know which one YOU like the best !

Enjoy Folks !

I'm scared and tired. I have so much to do I don't even know where to start. You have a wonderful day.
DailyPhotos > popular today > 8.7.08 - Busy Bee.

This is another Daily that came about completely by accident. I was driving to meet the kids from school and had a few minutes to spare, so took a little detour to take some photos of some large round hay bales that I'd seen a few days ago. I took a few of them, and a couple can be found here; http://johnloguk.smugmug.com/gallery/4518270_XDZuH#328255423_sfE8d

Then I noticed a strip of wildflowers along the edge of a field of oilseed rape, right under my nose. I took a few of those too, which can be found here; http://johnloguk.smugmug.com/gallery/4328734_9ZqLR#328266774_5HCEd

Then this evening there was a bit of a sunset, and a couple of shots can be found here; http://johnloguk.smugmug.com/gallery/4053411_yY5Qg#328260277_Ybmiv

So it was a difficult choice, but I was so pleased at how sharp this little chap came out that he had to be my Daily for today, phew :)

PS. and I still haven't got a proper macro lens, this was hand held with my trusty Nikkor 55-200mm, and it was windy.

Morning catch.

Thanks for all your prayers, they seem to be working because my mom seemed a little better yesterday. She smiled allot although I think she's very scared.

I got up early yesterday before visiting hours so I could shoot a little. It is certainly a good release. Or after hours I see if anything is out and about.

The nurses have been so super to her. When I can't visit with her because of visiting hours I'll call and talk to the nurses to check on her. They are so good about going and telling her everything. She is in a sort of icu. They call it a step down.

ps. I told her how everyone is praying for her and she had tears in her eyes.

They are having a hard time with her bp right now so keep your fingers crossed.

YOU'RE ONE IN A MILLION

My first attempt at selective coloring! What fun! Three tries and two hours...not bad for a beginner :-)
Here's the unframed version for those that don't like the added dimension:

SUNFLOWER BEAUTY

Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments on my flowers. I will continue to post them without guilt...however, the creative work I see in Dailies has inspired me to try to develop a photographic eye of other subjects as well. Your compliments and suggestions have been very helpful and appreciated.

The original to this sunflower is below, very little difference between the two, but I liked this one with more "pop" to it. It was taken in the morning when the partial shade cast a bluish hue to the leaves..I liked how it blended with the greens.

Heres the original:
