DigitalGrin > popular today > Like John Loguk's cathedral, Pike's Peak is probably the thing I photograph most often and I have found it to be devilishly difficult to capture well. I think this may be my best shot of it --- taken after several days of non-stop snowing as it was just emerging from the snow clouds. I shot this from the parking lot of the nursing home where I read to a lady several times a week. As you can see, the nursing home has a million dollar view of the peak. In addition to the peak, I especially like the shadow of the tree on the fence that I caught (probably would need to look at it in a larger size to see this well).
