DigitalGrin > popular today > Birthday Surprise! To celebrate my birthday on April 17 of 2009 I did a solo run to Corkscrew Swamp in Naples, Florida. What a magnificent day! I had the 400mm lens on the camera when I sighted this guy sitting on a limb very close in. I was afraid to change lens for fear he'd fly away, so I just filled the frame with Red Shoulder Hawk and shot through the abundant leaves. There were signs all around that it was breeding season and to beware of aggressive hawks....this guy was just a bit grumpy at waking up and greeting the day.
