Hello friends. I will be visiting Philly again for a series of digital photography and photoshop workshops.
I came to Philly for the first time in Spring 2008 and had the best time. The cheesestakes at South St.

Come join me and my other students in the multi-day intensive digital media workshop.

Photography topics covered : Basic photography skills- lighting, exposure, composition, 
How to use those fancy doodads on your camera, How to prevent blurry shots.
How to compose those colorful travel postcards ? Why flash improves your  photo quality ?
How to photograph your friends and family in front of famous attractions ?
Learn to use only the most important controls on your digital SLR  ( Nikon or Canon )

I will also teach you about color theory and art principles ( line,
shape, color, texture, perspective, that will improved your picture
taking skills. I give a hands-on teaching approach to all my students and make it
possible to teach technical subjects in a non-complicated way to beginners...At the end of the photo
workshop, you will learn new ideas, techniques, & photographic tips that will enhance your vision as a
photographic artist. A tripod will be required. Lots of photo techniques for capturing night
scenes will be discuss.

portraiture, fashion,still life, abstracts,food,sports, automotive, closeups ( macro ), night photography

Photoshop topics covered. Here's a partial outline.<br>
1) How to organize your files on your MAC and PC ?<br>
2) Deciding when to shoot for JPEGS or RAW files ?<br>
3) What other programs to use to speed up organizing and basic cleanup
other than Photoshop CS4 - Irfan View, Turbo Photo ( only $ 30), Photoshop Elements<br>
4) How to resize images for print, web, and email usage. Print images
need to bebresize to 300 dpi. How to organize the files for each category.<br>
5) Basic and advance color correction . Using both auto levels, auto
contrast, auto color and also adjusting color manually. Increasing and decreasing saturation<br>
6) Work faster using keyboard shortcuts when using photoshop commands versus using the mouse.
How to use a Wacom tablet & pen for advance photoshop commands.<br>
7) How to clean up unwanted elements such as spots, moles, dirt using clone tool , healing brush, etc.<br>

A good example of unwanted elements is the dirt spots on highlights from a dirty sensor. Be sure to clean your UV filters on your lens
 and turn on the clean sensor on your digital camera to minimize this annoying dark specks ( or white specks ) that shows up on your image.<br>
8) How to set up with layers, masks, & selections to make rapid changes. Layers help you create  multiple images and add text to your photography.
 Create business cards, brochures, posters with this technique<br>
9) Learn how to use filters & Photoshop plug-ins to make boring images exciting and dramatic.<br>
10) Learn how to convert color to black and white. There are several ways to do it.<br>
