5. Kom Ombo Edfu Temple of Horus visited while on the Ms Royal Orchid : A hieroglyph (Greek for "sacred carving") is a character of the ancient Egyptian writing system. Partially pictographic logographic scripts reminiscent of ancient Egyptian are also sometimes called "hieroglyphs". In Neoplatonism, especially of the Renaissance, a hieroglyph was an artistic representation of an esoteric idea, which actual Egyptian hieroglyphs seemed to the Neoplatonists to be. The word hieroglyphics may refer to writings in a hieroglyphic system.

He who hath not seen Cairo hath not seen the world. Her soil is gold; her Nile is a marvel; her women are like the black-eyed virgins of Paradise; her houses are palaces; and her air is soft, as sweet-smelling as aloe-wood, rejoicing the heart. And how can Cairo be otherwise, when she is the Mother of the World? A Thousand and One Nights

Aswan : My first sunset in Nubia. Violent crimson rivers of fire burning across the pale topaz firmament above Aswan, above the inconceivable vastness of those desert wastes beyond. The flames slowly fade, now dark bloody veins in the quivering blue-black marble of heaven’s dome, which is endless yet nowhere. Paul William Roberts River in the Desert

St Catherine's Monastery : Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, "I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up." Exodus
