Avebury Standing Stones 2009 : Not many shots (family took precedence), but all shots are my first HDR processed images using Photomatix Pro. Most HDR images I've seen appear garish and over processed in my view (fine if that's your thing though), I hope these come across as more subtle and for me when viewed next to the RAW images provide a much better representation of the actual fading light on that January afternoon.

January Gelidity : January 10th 2009, temperature dropped to around -7 (possibly lower) during the night in Hampshire. This amazing frost did not dissipate during the day. All shots taken on the walk to the pub via the woods out back.

Lyme Park, Disley, England : Lyme Park, Disley, England. Pride& Prejudice (1995) and The Forsyte Saga sequel were filmed here. Lyme Park was given by Richard II to the original Legh family in 1392, and was rebuilt during the reign of Elizabeth I.

The Cotswolds, English country villages : A day tour of the Cotswolds - Castle Combe, Bibury, Upper Slaughter, Stow-on-the-Wold and Tetbury - picturesque villages which still retain their 18th-19th century look. I love the flowers on and around the cottages, and the Cotswold oolitic limestone walls of houses, which absorb sunlight and become honey gold.
