Tetbury was a medieval and Renaissance center of wool trade in the Cotswolds - and is now the location of the annual "woolsack" races, in which runners carry 60 pound sacks of wool.
 > More buildings in the Stow-on-Wold marketplace, including an old posting-house hotel. Stow-on-Wold was a busy marketplace in Roman times, on the Roman Fosse Way on the way to Cheltenham, There are still old Roman stocks in Market square.
 > Shop at Stow-on-Wold. The colorful flowers make these limesone buildings picture-perfect. The color of the limestone varies in different parts of the Cotswolds; here it is more grey than yellow.

 > Unfortunately Stow-on-Wold is a tourist village and antiquing center, with a very large (and ancient) Marketplace, with dozens of shops. I took a picture of The White Hart because that is the name of a number of famous 18th-19th century coaching inns throughout England.
 > Houses in Stow-on-Wold. Stow-on-Wold is on the Coln Way, a popular walking path. Like other areas of historic interet in England, both residents and shopkeepers must adhere to regulations pertaining to the appearance of their buildings.
