I can not imagine how many ship visits were required to supply 16 million bricks for the construction. There will be more historical items of interest to follow with additional posts. The boat trip there was fairly rough with some people getting seasick. The park covers 101 mi² (262 km²), mostly water, about 68 statute miles (109 km) west of Key West in the Gulf of Mexico. ......The park's centerpiece is Fort Jefferson, a massive but unfinished coastal fortress. SmugMug > popular today > 12/21/2009 Las Posadas Every year, our parish follows a traditional Mexican custom in which we follow Mary and Joseph through the streets of Bethlehem looking for a place to stay. The children dress up as shepherds and angels and lead the procession. Eventually, they lead us into the church where we open our hearts and give Jesus a warm and safe place to be born. It's such a beautiful custom and the children really bring so much to it...even if they have short attention spans.

SmugMug > popular today > December 22, 2009 Mall Madness Only 3 shopping days left and the mall is full of crazy shoppers looking for last minute gifts and deals. American Eagle, Abercrombie, Bath & Body Works, Aerospostle, GAP..........so many stores, so many choices, only 72 hours left............... This was how we felt while shopping at the mall with a million strangers. Just navigating the parking lot and trying to find a space was challenge enough. As I was walking down the stairs by the food court I looked up and noticed the atrium glass roof. I really like how the mall is reflected in the glass in this dizzying effect, kind of how it felt just being at the mall.

SmugMug > popular today > Guitar bed I broke out my Taylor 614CE after a year in the closet. When we first brought the kittens home I caught one of them climbing the neck strap. At 8 wks I figured I better put this acoustic away as the neck could snap real easy. I got the urge to play my Taylor the other night instead of my Carvin so I brought it out and set it on the floor here. All the Christmas stuff is behind me hence the opening by the door. I was playing when my wife called to me that this was a photo moment. I turned and looked and Marco is in the case. I quickly grabbed the camera and snapped on the flash to capture the shot. LOL 10 min later he was sound asleep in that case as I was playing. First day of vacation, my office is a giant mess, Christmas card, wrappings, gifts everywhere. I can hardly walk in the door. I have client shots to process, family shots to do, photo's to print, web page to finish for a client, my site to update, and a shoot to go do................................ ARGH maybe I should have gone to work!!! PS I can see my wife laughing her head off at me :) Have a great day everyone!!
