The Blue Album : Not sure of the date on these, but we reckon approximately late 40s/early 50s, post war, and before Grandad starting using Kodak red slide film in approx 1952.

My father-in-law thinks this formed some kind of portfolio which he never kept up. Another weird similarity with myself as I tried to do a similar thing a few years ago with B&W film, but didn't get far - mainly due to the dire quality of prints from film these days.

Rita and Gordon : I picked up a few boxes of slides at a car boot sale. There are a few hundred photos of this family. Rita and Gordon were a young couple in the early 1960s with three children. Their wedding photos from 1962 are in the box. The photos seem to have been taken by Gordon's parents.

It is tragic that this family's memories ended up in a cardboard box selling for £1 at a car boot sale. The couple are no doubt still alive, and the children in the photos would now be in their late 40s - the elder son perhaps in his early 50s. There are two addresses on the photographs - 12 Dean Street, and Goldington Avenue - the most likely town considering the places they visited, being Huddersfield.

It is a long shot I know, but if anyone recognises the family, let me know as it would be great to reunite Rita with her wedding photos and the photos of her children when they were very young. There are some beautiful shots of the children which any relative of the family would value.
