FRANCE: 21-24 March 1989 : Four days in France to use up the rest of a 'France Vacances' ticket bought for the 2-week marathon at the beginning of the month. Out and back via the Newhaven/Dieppe ferry, this is basically a Paris trip with extras; here's how it goes:-
DAY 1 (Tue 21st March): Dieppe Maritime, Roen Rive-Droit, Amiens (Amiens SP - 12 locos + 2 passing, Longueau Depot - 43 locos + 1 passing), Creil (Creil Ville SP - 7 locos + 6 passing), Paris Nord, Mitry Claye (Mitry Claye SP - 1 loco, 26 EMU), Le Bourget (Bobigny SP - 36 locos + 7 passing), Paris Nord, Paris Saint-Lazare.
DAY 2 (Wed 22nd March): Paris Saint-Lazare, Acheres Grand-Cormier (Acheres Depot - 50 locos), Poissy, Mantes-la-Jolie (Mantes-la-Jolie SP - 2 locos), Paris Saint-Lazare, Marx Dormoy, (La Chapelle Depot - 29 locos + 4 passing; La Villette Depot - 65 locos + 31 passing), Montparnasse-Bienvenue, Paris Vaugirard (Vaugirard SP - 12 locos), Montparnasse-Bienvenue – Chatillon-Montrouge (Montrouge Depot - 17 locos)..
DAY 3 (Thu 23rd March): (Montrouge Depot - 17 locos. Chatillon TGV DEpot - 6 locos), Chatillon-Montrouge, Invalides, Boulevard Massena (Paris Sud-Ouest Depot - 55 locos), Rungis triage, Pereire-Levallois, Pont Cardinet (St Lazare Depot view), Paris St Lazare, Rouen Rive-Droit, Sotteville (Sotteville Depot - 61 locos), Rouen Rive-Droit, Paris St Lazare.
DAY 4 (Fri 24th March): Saint-Lazare, Opera, Concorde, Gare de Lyon, Villeneuve St Georges, Gare de Lyon, Villeneuve Triage (Villeneuve St Georges Depot - 69 locos), Villeneuve Prairie, Gare de Lyon, Concorde, Paris St Lazare, Dieppe Maritime (Dieppe Ville SP view - 2 locos).
