I use a program TPE (phone, ipad app) that shows the azimuth of sunrise/set and moonrise/set, it indicated that being at the convention center the azimuth of the sunset would be right down the middle of the bridge. But under the bridge were 5 or 6 floating crane barges not very pretty. So those nice palms trees hide the ugly part.
