Not only were they not scared but actually quite enjoying this - sort of like a game. What was scary was the heavy machines operating with cutters & welders for the ship breaking industry. Unmindful, the kids just went about their live. 
It was also mind boggling to see large number of people were using this mucky water of the river to swim, play, drink, gargle, brush their teeth and take bath all within feets of each other! Same water has the ship breaking with oil leaking making the river thick black as well as crab & fishing all side by side. Young, old, everyone seems to have the world's best immunity system! That's when my photographer friends, pulled me to the side and said that she was looking nervous because she maybe a young prostitute looking for a customer.She didn't look like she in the prostitution business, but we moved away.
