9/11 10th Anniversary Memorial Service : The Manchester, Ct. Fire Rescue EMS Dept. held their 10th memorial service for the 9/11 victims at their memorial garden which is located at Station 5. This year they had the addition of a piece of steel from the World Trade Center.

Manchester, Ct W/F : Manchester, Ct Fire Rescue EMS responded to 805 East Middle Tpke. on 9/10/11 at 1646 hours for this working fire in a 2 story wood frame. Members had heavy fire showing from the rear and D side on arrival. Two members were transported to the hospital for evaluation of injuries. Mutual aid from East Hartford Ladder 1 and 8th District Engine 4 responded to the scene for overhaul and relief.

Vernon, Ct. MVA rollover : Vernon, Ct put the Jaws to work when they responded to 35 Hartford Tpke. for this MVA rollover on 7/11/11@1002 hours. Two people were in the vehicle on its side and 1 occupant in the other vehicle.

Vernon, Ct 2nd alarm plus : On 6/23/11 @0002 hours Vernon, Ct was toned out for a structure fire in the area of Washington St. & Phoenix St. A second alarm on arrival was given for 175 Washington St. Fire was in a 1 1/2 story wood frame cape cod style house. Members made a nice push inside but due to colliers mansion conditions and heavy fire they were forced out to a defensive atack. Mutual aid tankers from Bolton, Tolland and Ellington Fd's assist Vernon with water supply.

Ellington, Ct 3rd alarm : Ellington, Ct had this 3rd alarm on 6/29/11 @0655 hours. The fire was at 216 West Rd. "The Kloter Farms Store". Members had heavy smoke and fire showing on arrival. Mutual aid from Vernon, Crystal Lake, Tolland and Somers assisted at the scene with other departments covering the vacated stations. This was the first major fire for Ellington's Truck 143.
