2006-08-12: Huntington Library : Saturday August 12th 10:30 am a few of us (namely: Tom, Patrick, Eddie and Derek from LA Shooters and ChrisJ and me from Dgrin) met at the front gate of the <a href="http://local.live.com/?v=2&sp=aN.ppn0yh54qt6q_1151%2520Oxford%2520Rd%252c%2520San%2520Marino%252c%2520CA%252091108-1218%252c%2520United%2520States___">Huntington Library</a>. We spent a few hours there and then Chris and me split. It was a rather hot and sunny SoCal day, very harsh light Oh well, we had to use what was available. The Library, a former private property of a railroad tycoon Henry E. Huntington is now a public museum (like a Hearst Castle) located on 150 acres. It consists of several gardens, museum and the library itself, that stores some unique pieces like one of the first prints of the Bible, etc. Today we only visited Chinese, Japanese and Bonsai gardens and Shakespear Alley. Our guide, Tom from LA Shooters, who's been there several times before, said that even the whole day would not be enough. Below are some pics from our trip.
