 > Honor Gaurd securing the halliard of the United States Flag.The Flag was given to Merchants and Marine Bank by U.S.Senator Trent Lott from Pascagoula,Mississippi ,before he retired, after they rebuilt the Bank after Hurricane Katrina and flew over our Nations Capitol.Lott also lost his ,250 year old, home to Katrina on Beach Boulevard.
 > "The Last LHD"  USS Makin Island LHD 8 being built at Northrop Grumman Ship Systems Pascagoula MS.It is 844 feet long and has a 106 foot beam DWL,118 foot beam at the Flight Deck.It is powered by two 35,000 Bhp G.E. gas turbines,two 5,000 Bhp variable speed AC electric motors,two 16.5 ft diameter controllable pitch props built by Rolls Royce.The draft is 27.3 feet ,and it has a top speed of 20 knots.It has 6 4,000 Kw diesel generators.The crew consists of 65 officers,994 enlisted,and a Marine detachment of 1,687 troops plus 184 surge.The LHD 8 will be the last LHD-1 Wasp-class Ship,all built at Northrop Grumman Ship Systems Ingalls Operation in Pascagoula,Ms.,but the first to have gas turbine engines,and electric drive.It has 6 Operating Rooms,17 ICU beds,and 47 Bed Ward.All for around 1.8 Billion Dollars.It will be Commisioned in April 2009 in San Diego,Ca.
 > The First USCG National Security Cutter Berthholf(WMSL-750) coming to Port at Northrop Grumman.Pascagoula,MS.on the 66th anniversary of the Day of Infamy.07 December 2007.This is the first of eight being built at the Pascagoula shipyard.Bertholf was the first commandant of the U.S.Coast Guard.
 > The Daniel Colle,an 81.6 foot Tug from Colle Towing Company,passing in front of Northrop Grumman Ship Systems,Ingall's Operation and the DDG-103 USS Truxtun being built in Pascagoula,Ms.
